Any site with Flash crashes IE7.

If Microsoft weren't king of the software mountain, there's no way they'd be able to release a buggy piece of shit like this and stay in business.

Just FYI: I'm experiencing these issues at work, home, and school, so it's not just one PC/build.

Strange.

My wife is using IE7 on her machine (since it's Vista), and no real issues.

I'm gonna say "user error" :)

I had someone in class tell me "It's just you." So I had them go to weather.com and it crashed their IE is about 40 seconds.

You know...you bring up an interesting point. I've got a Vista machine right next to me. Let's see if I can get those sites to run on it.

I wouldn't put it past Microsoft to make their latest software have issues on their old OS. That way, they can gently nudge you into getting the new OS..."It'll work better on Vista."

Fuck Yes!!! A Vista machine that WAS actually built by Dell (a gift) just had IE crash two minutes after I opened it. I launched fark.com, foxsports.com, and weather.com (and put the local weather map in motion).

So IE7 fails on my PC here (I built), my Vista machine here (Dell built), my home PC (I built), and my school PC (Just about every MS certificate available certified teacher built).

It's officially a piece of shit.

Dell ended up "giving" us 2 laptops and a workstation with dual 24" monitors for our order.

Too bad they aren't the laptop I wanted. :)

So my IE 6 died last week... I've been trying to live without it, but I can't. and it doesn't seem to want to be repaired either.

Hello IE7.

I have noticed throughout my years in IT that Microsoft software has a funny habit of dying or acting up when newer versions are available.

My wife finally switched from IE (7 since she has Vista) to FireFox.

She's much happier now. Loves the Ad Blocker plug-in.

Holy crap - I visited fark.com with IE to see if it would crash (it didn't), but they have a ton of ads on that site. I've never seen them before.
