What the hell is click-fraud?

Is it also against the law to go to a car lot, talk to a salesman, and not buy?

Click fraud is any sorta of clicking for purposes other than actual interest in the link/product/whatever.

Google'd just refund them the money. No harm.

Ruthless mofos at MS. If the ensuing legal battle wouldn't cost millions of dollars, I could see a shitload more resistance to this technological strongarming. As it is, it looks cheaper to play ball w\ MacroShaft than to resist them. & they wonder why their image looks so bad.

Sounds like some of the Linux groups that used to be all about Damning the Man are taking this opportunity to sign up to become the Man themselves.

Either MS's claims have some merit or everyone is just taking this shot to latch onto the proverbial 800# gorilla.
