You can change the tip afterwards, at least on 1 or 2 of them.

If you like using your delivery services, don't read the doordash/grubhub/etc reddits. The drivers rage on there about bad tippers/their miserable lives, and talk about how they fuck with your food.

Another reason I tip well.

Paying the extortion encourages further extortion.
Don't you have a driving teen yet who can run the "pick up the food" errand? That was awesome, in this house.

I never said that. I said they said that. A lot. Angrily. Then they eat some of your fries because your house is nice and you're a prick that can afford it.

And it still guarantees you nothing.

Exactly. Participating is just making everything worse for everyone.
We've all seen the DD guy who cursed out the person that only tipped him $5 on a $20 pizza. 25% and that's not enough?
We all can't drop 50s like Catt every time we wanted a McFlurry delivered.

Me either and I don’t participate in this blatant bribery.

You get lies.

Hurricanes at Hansel’s (local place) are superior. Remember, DQ doesn’t sell ice cream.

I've heard people rave "Handel's is great because it's scoop ice cream, but it's soft like soft serve!" Doesn't that mean they whip a lot of air into it?

Yes, I was on my phone at a swim meet and missed that.
Handel's is really good, but it's not as soft as you are thinking. It's legit quality stuff. Give it a visit sometime.

Counter-example:
I signed up for the Amex Platinum card because they offered me $1,500 of points. (Annual fee is $700(!) so canceling before renewal) One of the perks was Clear at the airport, which has been nice. Another is Walmart+. So I can order groceries and such without any fees. Though, I do have to tip.
The default tip? 10%. I tip 15, but surprised to see such a low default in this day and age.
