The most remarkable aspect of this war is that Fox New doesn't have a single front page headline maligning Biden.
Harris, yes, but not Biden.

Now who is this Harris you speak of? Is that a government official I'm unaware of?

Clearly you don't read/watch Fox News. Minority women are the devil's advocates.

I don't know the circumstances of the first, and I don't disagree with him on the latter.

Yeah, I didn't hate the second one either.
Here's a much funnier one for you:

ah.. she explains, and I agree. And if not out of the UN, at least out of the Security Council, which is useless.

That's exactly what I assumed she meant.... Still an amusing faux pas.

I don't know what a FSB is, but this apparently leaked out of it. Interesting read. Some sort of Russian intel analysis.

Over on reddit someone linked today's russian propaganda about a dirty bomb that was mentioned as the "next step" on that FSB report.

Thinking about the average person in russia being insulated from outside information, only knowing what their government chose to tell them. Lots of them think they're fighting some rogue, terrorist nation, and their cause is just. I've heard that over 50% of them still think this, and the "dirty bomb" propaganda will entrench them.
So what would that look like in the USA? Imagine every country except, say, Canada, suddenly condemned us on the world stage. Economic sanctions, foreign goods and services severing contact. But our government says all is well. They block access to BBC news and everything else from overseas.
How long until the average American figures out that something stinks? Ever?
++++
Conspiracy theory time, not intended to derail the above question: Putin probably gained control by inventing foreign atrocities on his own people (
https://www.nationalreview.com/corner/t ... utins-rise). With that he was able to change the rules and become a strongman. What would that look like in the USA? 9/11? We certainly did love a lot of privacy and freedom, in the aftermath, and intelligence agencies gained a lot.

Oi - we aren’t doing conspiracy in this thread. It ended poorly for those that didn’t sleep for days

.
That said, when the sanctions hit, and the money runs out, it will be interesting to see who suddenly doesn’t have any funding.

The only content I want to consume right now related to the war is videos of Ukrainian farmers stealing million dollars of Russia air defense systems with their bright green tractors.

Saw an article late last night that Mastercard, Amex, and Visa all pulled out of Russia. The article said Russian banks are expected to be on the brink of collapsing as early as today.

I wonder. But it would sure be nice if they collapsed. China will bail them out though.
Netflix pulled out, which must hurt all 5 Russians who pay for movies.
TikTok also pulled out, which is a win for Russia, imho

Thinking about it, TikTok pulling out might actually HURT the anti-war movement since Russians were getting a lot of real news from there.
