The Super Bowl this year was so bad, I thought it was last year's Pro Bowl.

This year's pro bowl was actually decent, the parts I saw.

They ought to let Deion and Jerry pick the teams for the championship next year.

Funny commercial, but it just served to make me even less likely to shop there.

I was excited at first, because back in the 80s Radio Shack was a wonderful store full of awesome electrical components and goodies you couldn't get anywhere else. If they took Radio Shack back to what they were in the 80s, I'd practically live in the store.

Not what they were trying to say, though, sadly. They're determined to stick with their miniature Best Buy vibe.

If I'm a GM, I'm thinking "wait for a future draft" on QBs....
Other quarterbacks who are currently free agents include Kellen Clemens, Matt Flynn, Josh Freeman (who ended his season as a weekly inactive for the Vikings), David Garrard, Rex Grossman, Chad Henne, Shaun Hill, former Minnesota draft pick Tarvaris Jackson, Jon Kitna and Michael Vick

Tavaris Jackson is a Superbowl-winning QB. How can you not love that?

He contributed to that win about as much as I did.

Two senators threatening the NFL over the Redskins.

Missouri DE entering the draft comes out.

He wasn't considered a top prospect going into the draft. Still, when he's selected in the 4th, 5th, 6th, or 7th round (where he was projected), I'm sure people will be complaining that he was taken late because he's gay.

The circus continues in Cleveland.

Honestly, this might be a good move in that Banner and Lombardi were awful, and their original hiring stunned a lot of people.

However, the timing really makes one question Haslam. This isn't on Banner and Lombardi, it's on him. This is his failure.

Yeah, Haslam looks like a dude I wouldn't want to work for.

This is something that needed to be done. The timing is odd, but when coach after coach turned this team down Haslam saw just how toxic this front office really was.

During the search, the Browns drew widespread criticism from local and national quarters for creating an organization deemed “toxic,” “radioactive” and “dysfunctional.” While Haslam continued to fiercely defend the Browns and the city of Cleveland as an NFL destination, his actions spoke loudly that he agreed something was very wrong with the organization.

“I think he should be applauded for the fact that when there was a tough decision to be made, he looked at it in the eye, he stepped up and made the decision,” Farmer said. “I think that’s what you want from somebody who’s in control in this league, somebody who’s not afraid to make the tough decision regardless of what the public backlash may be.”

Joe Banner was strickly a cap guy with no football knowledge and his hire of Lombardi was just rediculous. Both of these guys took credit for shit that others did.

Under Banner’s reign, Haslam’s organization secured a $107 million stadium naming rights deal; an innovative, new broadcast rights deal; partial public funding of a $30 million stadium renovation plan; and a lucrative, 10-year health-care deal that pushed aside 40-year partner Cleveland Clinic for rival University Hospitals. All of these improved the coffers of the Haslam family investment.

But there is no getting around the fact that Banner’s insistence on running the football side and his out-of-the-box hire of Lombardi as his primary sidekick brought about his own meteoric demise.

On the day Lombardi was introduced roughly 14 months ago, Banner conceded he was “going out on a limb” by hiring Lombardi, who had been out of the NFL for five years as an analyst for various media companies.

The Browns proceeded to have one of the worst drafts in their own sorry recent history. And although the moves by Banner and Lombardi set up the Browns with 10 draft picks and more than $35 million in salary cap room, the fact is the franchise suffered a 4-12 season – a game worse than the previous regime’s lame-duck year. Haslam and Banner pinned the reversal on the Chudzinski coaching staff. But, again, Haslam’s actions spoke louder than words.

Banner was a delusional dictator that didn't even know what he was doing.

Banner’s reputation as Eagles’ owner Jeff Lurie’s top aide was mixed. He was a tireless administrator and a ruthless negotiator who dreamt of dabbling in football operations more than critics felt he was qualified to do. In Cleveland, Banner appointed himself the No. 1 football authority. Haslam allowed it.

Lombardi was such a pussy and the city of Cleveland knew he was a fraud.

Lombardi’s very presence in the organization was so “toxic” that he was sequestered from routine press conferences and made unavailable to media except for three appearances – his introduction, a Q and A session before the 2013 draft, and a one-day availability in training camp.

While i don't claim that the Browns will be a playoff team next year, i will say the organization is in much better hands now. They now have a head coach that played in the NFL and a GM that has played in the NFL. Not some pencil pushing geek that thinks he knows more than the rest of the world. Good move by Haslam in my and many Cleveland fans' minds.

Catt's hero, Chris Kluwe posted this today. It's an article written by one guy who makes claims that a "1%" party was thrown, and somehow he got in and they were making jokes about gays and main street America, yada yada yada.

People started questioning the validity of the article. Kluwe responded with:
The ultra rich are getting vilified because they're proven sociopaths, and somehow considered valued members of society.

Fine. Let's say the article is 100% accurate, and not at all slanted by someone looking for evil in a room full of people who he has dedicated his life to believing ARE evil...

Immediately people, like myself, starting pointing out how you can't judge the many based on the few.

My response (just as an example):
Making assumptions about a group of people based on one person's account of a few of them. That's worked well in the past...

His response to all the criticism:
It baffles me how many people try to defend the indefensible in the hopes that one day they'll be the ones in that position.

And:

Lotteries everywhere rejoice at that mindset.

He then apparently got mad and logged off.

What a piece of shit. His belief that he is morally and intellectually superior despite his obvious bigot flag flying is disgusting. How about showing some humility, and admitting that perhaps you're incorrectly painting a large group of people with the same brush?

I support Kluwe on the gay rights issue, and enjoyed his openness towards the NFL. However, as his politics consume his life, and turn his good intentions into absolute hatred for anyone he perceives as a problem or who dare disagree with anything he says, I'm now ignoring him.

I find it sad that he's being such a bigot after fighting the good fight against bigotry.

Yeah, but he's a huge League of Legends fan and was even at the World Championship a few months back. So he's cool in my book.

So if Hitler was a LoL player...

Sorry, I can't follow that logic. Like I said, I dug him when he first made headlines, and his gaming was a part of that, but following him has been like watching a car crash in slow motion. It's just getting worse and worse.
