FYI: Many news outlets had this story but didn't go public with it because they had nothing to substantiate it. However, The Smoking Gun did in 2016 and nobody cared. Interesting that now is when it gains traction. (I'm not implying anything, it's genuinely interesting. Why now?)

Then the article discusses how the GOP's tax reform is so good for business that Apple is repatriating jobs AND gave all their employees a bonus. I mean, if that's true, doesn't the GOP get any of the credit for creating the situation where Apple could "save it"?

I think the WSJ has reported the connections, which is valid enough for me.

She seems pretty credible. Very specific on details. Thinking she may be legit. Still don't care other than the spectacle of it all. The people that hate Trump are shocked that the Trump supporters aren't bailing on him. The Trump supporters either think she and/or the media are lying, or just don't care. I think the Republicans are where the (Bill) Clinton supporters were 20 years ago.

That narrative does seem to be catching on. DACA's a poor hook for the Democrats to hang a shutdown on, but they did.

What Catt said. Also, all the video clips of Democrats (Schumer in particular) are being played quite a bit even by the MSM. I think those are also starting to take a toll.

I'm not sure why Disney did it. I'm guessing to stay competitive. To be honest, Democrats do know what's in Disney's heart because their about as leftist a corporate entity as you can find.

I am not. And I'm not saying that a lot of these companies aren't doing this because they are wanting to promote tax policy that is good for them. But there are also companies that are recognizing that this is a) good PR and b) needed in a job market that is becoming more and more competitive. Disney is a progressive shit hole and I'd lump them in the latter camp.

Edit: Let's just say I have a hard time believing that a company that unethically if not illegally abused the STEM VISA program in order to replace their US IT staff with cheaper labor from and India contractor, and then forced the soon to be replaced workers to train said Indian workers under threat of blackballing from any Disney property really is giving employees a bonus because they give a fuck about their employees. If anything, it's because of the bad press from the above story that they're doing this. But they can't site that in their press release.
