Did Goodell's mistress in London dump him or something?
Hey Brazil, we're giving you the Eagles-Packers game. London, you can have Jets, Jags, and Browns games because fuck you.

WOW, just WOW. So the Browns took out an insurance policy on Watson and can/will recoup money from his contract and YES EVEN THE CAP HIT for him missing time from injury!
No doubt the Browns planned this "setback". Watson still gets paid and the Browns get cap space relief. But that would be insurance fraud. Jimmy Haslem would never do anything like that...

*sigh*
This is what he said after the Bengals game:
Please let some team be dumb enough to trade for him.

A reminder that Tomlin is a defensive coach.
BTW, you know who has an almost identical overall record as a HC as Tomlin? Mike McCarthy. Weird how people call McCarthy a bum and Tomlin a great coach.

Tomlin's consistency is really a model for others. Just amazing.
Also, not just a (D)efensive coach, look at this:
Spend more than anyone else on D.

I actually laughed at that one.
Patriots hire Vrabel. Boo!
I don't want a coach I like working for a team I hate. They should trade him to the Steelers for Tomlin.

Absolutely, all the games were big letdowns if you're just trying to watch some close playoff football. Gratz on that win Catt!

Congrats Catt!
I don't feel as confident about your chances with the Lions, but who knows these days.

Yeah, I think we'll get blown out. We have a decent # of issues, and winning this game really was our ceiling, but I'll take it! We lasted longer than the GOAT!

Last night was the Commanders' Super Bowl. Next year will be a regression though. But maybe 2026 is our year

A typical NFL game has about 22.75 possessions/drives per game, total. (source: 2024 NFL stats, down from 24/game in 2013).
Last night's game felt a little off, and this morning I looked i up: 15 possessions. 8 for Washington, 7 for Tampa. That includes a Washington 10 second "drive" to end the first half. Of the Commanders' 7 drives, 2 ended in downs, the other 5 in points. Washington had 350 yards of offense, 43.75 yds per drive, including the -1 yd kneel down drive (NFL average: 31.4; NFL leader: Ravens at 39.7) Tampa had 6.5 yards per play, Washington only had 5.1. But Washington had 69 plays to Tampa's 44. So it's weird. Washington's offense wasn't remarkable, but they kept the chains moving.
(Possessions/drives does not include special teams scoring plays like kickoff/punt return for a TD, or defensive turnovers that become scores).
- edit -
shortly after I posted that, I read this on twitter
#Commanders rookie QB Jayden Daniels has more games in his career where his team has 0 punts & 0 turnovers than the combined careers of Tom Brady, Joe Montana, Peyton Manning, and Patrick Mahomes.

Awful: #Cowboys owner Jerry Jones didn't allow Mike McCarthy to interview for the #Bears head coaching job only to fire him days later.
I guess there's an argument that they were still negotiating when the Cowboys denied the Bears, but man...

That would be interesting. I mean, the Cowboys already have Tomlin-like success.

He could have been at the Commanders. I mean, sure, he's chasing a SB, but he's not the HC.
