5 TOs for the Commanders, but a win! https://www.espn.com/nfl/game/_/gameId/401671717

It was a nice reminder that Pittsburgh's best decision on Pickett was to get rid of him.

With the Commanders win, the Cowboys have been eliminated from playoff contention.
Commanders win twice today.

Counterpoint: Commanders just took away free money from all the people who wanted to bet against the Cowboys in the playoffs.

Mike Tomlin's legacy: "But no losing seasons!"

The king of mediocrity.
Also, this is bullshit:

In a fantasy league, I have no real issue with it. It's not the real games.

3 tough games for the Steelers in a row.

That makes it worse. They colluded to keep another team out. It's not good sportsmanship nor as the game is intended to be played. Their actions kept another player from money. It's the move of cowards. Plus, considering most FFL are made up of friends and family, they're probably putting friendships at risk.

They weren't close in any of them, and the biggest difference is Russ is playing like dogshit.

But, Tomlin's never had a losing season, so...

BTW, Netflix did a much better job in coverage today than they did with the Tyson-Paul fight.

However, it's been a really bad streak of prime time or "important" football games, college and pro. All blow outs.

Another dud game tonight.

Had it been a defensive struggle, great.

Two struggling offenses, not great.

Congrats!!

I had a wild gambling decision because of that game.

Portney put a parlay on Draft Kings and I rode with it for fun. $5. I needed Pickett to score a TD, Jonathan Taylor to score 2 TDs, and Robinson Jr. to score. It paid $176. I was doing expense reports for work and wasn't really paying attention until after dinner I looked and DK was offering me $85 to cash out. This was before kickoff. I figured I'd let it ride and got to halftime. I cashed out for $69. During the second half Rodriguez Jr, who the fuck is he?, scored for the Commanders. I thought it was Robinson for a second. Good cash out.

They have to sign Darnold. The team loves him and McCarthy hasn't played a snap and already missed a year due to injury.

If the Packers lose to the Bears, or Commanders beat the Cowboys, Commanders get the #6 seed instead of #7, and play the Rams instead of the Eagles in first round.

Steelers insider says Tomlin's been the one calling the D.

Give him credit that it's done well most of the year, but...
There has been no bigger indictment against Tomlin than when he admitted to stubbornly running his zone defense against a team that thrives on zone, including one particular player that he dubbed "a zone-killer." What's the point of spending all week watching film and scouting out your opponents if you're going to just do what you want anyways with no real logic behind it?
That's just bad coaching.

Also, they sum up my issues with him:
Tomlin may be the single-greatest coach at player relations and motivation, but that doesn't translate to making a good gameplan. He needs to just trust his assistants to do the right thing, since there is no reason to trust him. If Tomlin doesn't trust his guys, he needs to go out and find some that he is comfortable with.
Tomlin might be HOF level when it comes to motivation, but he's bottom half of the league in Xs and Os.

Portnoy should have cashed out like I did...
