No worry, I'm sure Dipshit Donnie's going to roll into DC and clean that place up like the long-lost son of Elliot Ness and Ann Coulter's grandma.

We're on the same page here. I'm for immigration, I just don't think millions of illegals are good for our country because people in LA get cheap day laborers.TPRJones wrote:Yes, that's why I discussed the importance of both allowing a path to immigration as well as still making it moderately difficult. I was specifically responding to the idea that we need to shut down or severely limit legal immigration, which is presumably what he meant by "importing". In the long run that would lead to economic stagnation.Leisher wrote:Did those studies cover legal or illegal immigrants?
I believe every word of your statement in relation to legal immigrants.
As you strangle the path to legal immigration, some of those hard-worker types will still come any illegally. But then you won't get taxes out of them and their ability to add their industriousness to our economy is subdued, so that's no help.
I kind of am okay with it to up to a point. Kind of goes back to the third world hell hole comment from before. Until we get the power of the federal government under control, I'm not comfortable throwing political opponents in jail. One thing special prosecutors have shown us is if they look long enough they can always find or create the circumstance for something to jail you on.TheCatt wrote:I'm OK with a pardon. I'd rather we move on with more important matters.

The fuck? Unless Keith has a few members of Congress in his pocket, I don't know what he's planning to do. As far Dipshit Drumpf... shit, I guess there's a non-zero chance he fumbles his way into appearing to be a person who's slightly brighter than your average Model UN member, but it's not a vibe I'm getting from him.“And so we will resist,” he declared.
Olbermann offered to lead the peaceful, lawful charge.
Since republicans generally think "safe spaces" are a joke, I had assumed Trump was mocking "safe space" people.TheCatt wrote:Well, yeah, that was really aimed at Trump's whiny "safe spaces" reply.
The Theater must always be a safe and special place. The cast of Hamilton was very rude last night to a very good man, Mike Pence. Apologize!
I can't imagine Drumpf knowing the definition or ironic without referring to Alanis Morisette.GORDON wrote:I agree. I just can't imagine Trump using the phrase "safe space" unironically.
I saw where a left wing actor (didn't recognize the name) agreed with Trump. He said as stage actors, the audience is the guest of the actors. You don't invite someone into your house and insult them. Which I thought was pretty classy of the that actor.TheCatt wrote:I don't think so.

Yeah, I don't agree with this statement at all. It can do those things, but those are not its only purposes.Malcolm wrote:Bah. Theatre exists to provoke and make people uncomfortable.
