All the ones that self-describe as independent are lying.

CNN: "Guns are bad and only the government should have them. Look at Europe and how they don't have guns."

Also CNN: "Being obese is normal and there's nothing you can do about it, so why bother! Oh, and don't look at Europe and how they don't have an obesity epidemic." (Or here 50 years ago...)
“It all comes back to the myth of personal responsibility around weight and body size
The person who wrote this article should be fired and everyone interviewed who are enabling the obese should be discredited and have any certificates/licenses stripped.

Articles like this are, literally, going to kill people.

I honestly expected the gun-ownership gestalt to pivot once Kamala came out as a gun owner. Because that's how they do.

If Oprah Winfrey can’t win when it comes to weight loss, nobody can
This is a stupid statement.
Attached to this focus on other people’s bodies are two harmful ideas: that weight is within a person’s control and that the size of a body is connected with moral value, Conason said.
This is another stupid statement.
In the hierarchy of what society perceives as the most “moral” ways to lose weight, medication ranks toward the bottom, said Bri Campos, a body image coach based in Paramus, New Jersey.
Who gives a shit?
It is also important to recognize that other people’s bodies should never be a subject of conversation –– even if you think talking about their weight loss is a compliment, Conason added.
This isn't the dumbest thing in the article, but it's still dumb.

I am really over the "big is beautiful" and "real women's bodies" bullshit.

There's a difference between a 45 year old mother of four's body and a 21 year old athlete's, sure. However, it shouldn't be 300 pounds.

The actual articles should be asking why so many people are obese here. What's wrong with our diet, food, culture, etc.

The argument that it's "Unattainable weight standards" always strikes me, then you look at a picture of a crowded beach in 1989 and those people are 95% having those unattainable standards.

So I too wonder what changed. I wonder if it's a food additive (corn syrup?) first, and increase of sedentary lifestyles (screens) second. Peeps no longer have to leave the couch to get that necessary human interaction, and they can filter any flaws away. Ever see that Bruce Willis movie "Surrogates?"

As I am no longer a teen-twenties, it is hard for me to relate my life in 1989, with an 18 yo's life today.

The blonde woman in the picture below is allegedly the owner of The Atlantic, a very far left MSM outlet, that is in the news for running a hit piece on Trump comparing him to Hitler, and had previously gained notoriety for publishing an article calling child sex trafficking a sham.

The brunette woman is Ghislaine Maxwell. They were (are?) very good friends.

Yeah, this is yet more proof that you should not trust the MSM. However, I'm really posting this because I've seen the collage below multiple times on the web in the past 24 hours. Every single time I've seen it, the comments are OVERWHELMINGLY the same. See if you can guess and then click the spoiler button.

Some variation of "Maxwell has a great rack." Dudes are gonna dude no matter what. And honestly, it restores some faith in humanity for me. I like knowing that even in the face of the greatest evil, we'll still stop to appreciate a nice rack.

(The first video is just a comedian making fun of all the Ds saying the MSG Trump rally was a Nazi event. Ignore it.)

The second video was my target. A joke video mocking the MSM.

Posting because the now common video collages of reporters saying the exact same speeches, phrases, etc. should genuinely concern everyone. Is it really an independent and free press when they're all owned by a very small group of billionaires?
Also of note is the WaPo apparently said they would not be endorsing either candidate this cycle. In response, notable left wing whackados like Mark Hamill and Stephen King very publicly (on X) cancelled their subscriptions. How very open minded of them: "Endorse who I want or fuck you."

200k cancellations so far.

Probably that's the majority, it's just bandwagon stuff and will be forgotten tomorrow. "I'm helping!"

That being said... LOL paying for an online newspaper.

Up to 250K.

Related: I cannot read the article I just posted. Apparently I have hit my limit for articles read this week via CNN.com and that's with a log in account (not paid).

FYI CNN, your entire front page for the past month has been nothing but Harris propaganda. Probably not a good way to drum up business. Try being unbiased? Oh wait, that isn't working for the WaPo is it?

Noted.

A local affiliate in PA was clearly testing their banners for election night and accidentally made it live. This sort of oopsie does not help in a country already full of mistrust in the election process. And if she wins and those numbers match by freak accident or not, blood will be spilled.

I mean just because they have the banners already done with the final vote count doesn't mean anything.

I will bet you $1,000 that there will be at least 500,000 more votes than that in the real election.
