That's area, not people. Land doesn't vote. The top 10 cities are 10% of the US population.
The conversation was about people far away from the seat of government not feeling like they have a stake in it, not wanting to be ruled by the whims of people in the cities. If that green area is the equivalent population of LA county, then next let's do the counties of the megalopolis of the Boston/NYC/DC corridor (the most populous megalopolis located entirely in the United States, with over 50 million residents.). See how much more of the map of the USA we can cover. Then Chicago and SanFran. And that should make my point that states are still important to the human psyche, not wanting to be ruled from afar. If you want more strife with the government, make people feel even more useless within it.

But none of that is proof. I'm just glad you weren't in charge when they made things the way they are.
You increase the mean distance to government per individual by giving rural states excessive representation.

This is legit one of the funniest things that has happened in an election cycle. It would be the best joke on any episode of Veep or Parks and Rec.

I'll be nice to have a White House that is back to the normalcy of American politics, but this is the kind of shit I'm going to miss. This is the sort of thing you'd see if Borat was the president.

I don't have the slightest idea who this blue checkmark is, so he could be another Alex Jones type? However, this tweet is interesting solely because of the examples given in the lawsuit (follow it to see them): I have zero doubt there was fraud or other shady shit going on for both sides, but do these few examples represent enough fraud to overturn the election? I don't think so.

Plus, I think it would be best for the country if the election stood because those same idiots in the streets celebrating like they won something will be rioting if somehow the results get overturned.

The powers that be need to make some backroom deals to squash Trump's efforts and make him go away.

The reporting from the notoriously liberal Wall Street Journal says that all current lawsuits are small in scope + technical and would be impactless to the result.

Why are they notoriously liberal? I thought they just skewed slightly left?

I think the odds of them finding enough votes to overturn the election is nil, so all this is going to do is further the "this election was fraudulent" folks. Make a deal with the Rs and Trump to make this all go away.

I was being sarcastic. Many Trump supporters decried how liberal and out of touch Fox News was this wkend for calling the election. WSJ owned by Fox.

There are people on both extremes that I think are simply batshit crazy.

Everyone from Center left to Center right should all get together and develop a system of identification for these people and fake ballots for them. We'll know they're fake because they'll be filled out in crayon.

There's a term for guys like Donald Trump.

But apparently not 2 terms.

Although, I expect to see him run in 2024...

Real-time markets say it's not over yet. But action is thin, and I would assume most Biden holders are holding for their expected 100% payout.

The action is further distorted. I tried to buy Trump No for 82 cents, but new traders are not allowed into the market any more.

It genuinely bewilders me how often the Ds or Rs do something, and then X years later both roles are reversed and each pretend like the previous incident never happened.
