Quietly unfriended a FB person the other day. She's been generally inoffensive, but she posted a screed about how wearing a mask infringes on her civil rights, and she ain't wearing one.
This shit is never going to end.

Do you doubt the attribution? A study out of either Italy or Spain showed continuing symptoms/"Worsening of daily life" or half of the subjects they monitored in the study (Average age 55).

Mom.got COVID. I died in a car accident on my way to see her. Covid related death.
Silly, but the difference between that and reality is a matter of degree. If you get a staph infection and die because you're in the hospital with covid, covid didn't kill you but it sure as hell gets counted as such.

They've been going back and forth on that, if you look at the numbers. In fact, they were more likely counting the other way, at least in March + April. But it's not black and white.

Strip club opening without strippers.
Regional health inspectors will be keeping a close eye on scantily clad waitresses at a Niagara Falls strip club patio Saturday to ensure serving food doesn’t cross over into the realm of live entertainment.
On it’s Facebook page, the Sundowner on Lundy’s Lane announced its “historic” reopening for Saturday at 3 p.m. complete with a photo of its covered patio that appears to feature a stripper pole in the middle of the space.
Management of the strip club did not respond to interview requests from The Standard Friday, but Niagara’s acting medical officer of health said that under provincial emergency orders to fight to the COVID-19 pandemic live entertainment, including adult entertainment venues, are not permitted to reopen.
“Their intention is to open a patio as food service venue with less than completely clad servers,” said Dr. Mustafa Hirji. “So public health inspectors will be there to inspect the premises as it opens.”

We elected to do the virtual academy this year. So, hopefully, the virus situation gets good enough that we can spend our time doing some travel, and kids can just school from wherever, and I work from wherever.

CA closing more stuff
Also among the indoor businesses that must close are: wineries, movie theaters, zoos, museums, family entertainment centers and card rooms.
Thirty counties will now be required to close indoor operations for gyms, malls, places of worship, personal care services, hair services and non-critical offices.
NC has been hitting records in hospitalizations and positive tests, but so far hospitals say that they have capacity to handle it.
