Elite RBs>Elite QBs>RBs>Everything else

Of course, if you already have a QB, then yeah, fuck that.

A top-tier WR would be worth more to me than a starting but lackluster RB. This is doubly true after byes are done because I'm plenty insane enough to roll with 2 RBs all the way to the playoffs. I need someone that can perform at WR2 next to Welker. Stephen Hill didn't pan out. Robert Woods was a great find until EJ got injured. Probably keeping Wilson, Welker, Gronk, and Lynch next year, so I don't even give a shit if it's a high cost WR. I sure as hell ain't keeping him unless he surpasses Welker.

I dont know if I agree with that.

In my league:
#1 QB - 232 pts
#10QB - 135 pts
#20QB - 102 pts

#1 RB - 139 pts
#10RB - 81 pts
#20RB - 63 pts

That's a 100 pt difference between #1QB and #10 QB, and only 58 pt difference in RBs.

I love that Cooley came out and said he was just playing for his second or third contract and then completely giving up.

Wow. He rage quit.

Marvin Jones is riding my PPR bench this week because:

1) Miami's pass D is not bullshit.
2) He's on the field way fewer snaps than Green and Sanu (#1 and #2 WRs, respectively).
3) McCluster is at Buffalo and Colston is at NYJ. Buffalo's pass D is the league's worst. NYJ is in the bottom third.
4) 3 RBs with decent matchups, so no need for a WR at flex.

However, he just had an Andy Dalton fuck up cost him a red zone catch that might've been a TD. Gresham's dumb-ass holding penalty got his 50-yarder score called back. Damn. He may be legit for 10 plus points and a threat for more each week. He doesn't get a bazillion targets, but he usually hauls it in and he get red zone looks. If he or McCluster turns consistent, and one of my old dudes comes back to life (probably Roddy White before Jennings), I'll have ok WR depth when Burleson comes back in week 10. I feel way more relaxed with my two-game cushion for div lead. Bet I'll lose this week. Would be nice if Gronk picked up and took some pressure off the unproven WRs, though.

Vikings officially giving up.
Christian Ponder will start at quarterback when the Minnesota Vikings visit the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday.
...
The Vikings coach did not announce who will back up Ponder, Freeman or Matt Cassel. Earlier in the week, Frazier ruled out Cassel from the starting competition.

Fuck you, Frazier. Have fun golfing with Schiano in the offseason so you two fucking idiots can argue over who knows less about running a successful NFL team.

I know Ponder's put his house up for sale. He's expecting the boot. I'd call him a temporary fix until Freeman leans the offense enough to get his real tryout. But if you're going to put Ponder in until Freeman's ready, wtf? Cassel's won your only goddamn game this year. He'll do just as well.

Well, that was a dumb idea. He's at least a good bet for 10 points. I got a questionable Roddy White and Marques Colston, followed by Jennings. I've got zero bench room for another pickup until one of the two gimps is declared out. Last wave of claims goes through at 10am Sunday. Just goddamnit.

I disagree, but I'm tied to Jennings this weekend thanks to White and Colston.

Week 3: Ponder, 0 TDs against Cleveland.
Week 8: Ponder, 0 TDs against Green Bay.

So, let's see how he does against the Dallas secondary. There is literally no worse team in the NFL this year in terms of passing yards surrendered per game (and it's 300+). On the other hand, the Vikings have thrown as many TDs this season as Manning the Greater threw in one week.

Most they've thrown in one game? 2. 3 of those belong to Cassel. Ponder got 1 in week 1, 1 in week 2.

The Dallas run D is middle of the pack. This has got to be a 200-yard gimme week, even for someone of Ponder's incompetence. The question is whether he goose eggs the TD stat. If he does, he's hopeless. If he can put up at least 2, awesome, he's achieved backup level talent. We already have a couple QBs not worth starting, though. Of them, Cassel's the only one that's got a passing score in each start. Granted, shitty sample size, but the numbers speak.

Opponent's got Rodgers going Monday, so I need to be up by at least 40 points to feel comfy. I'm betting DeMarco Murray is going to destroy the Vikings and bury me early. If Ponder's got a multi-TD game left, it'd be cool if he could finally connect with Greg this week. If he does, I'll stave off my hatred for a full fortnight.
