I fucking swear to jebus that if Apple started an ISP, I'd pick them over Comcast/Xfinity/Time Warner.

TWC seems to be throttling my torrents lately. Cannot get above 400 kB/s downloads.

Their hourly disconnects did give me the spare time to puzzle out a DB workflow problem, so there's that.

Even better, the shitty connectivity appears to be a permanent deal. Sweet. Even if I call to complain, they can tell me to shove my phone up my ass and turn it on vibrate as I wait for them to call back in a few decades when someone might give a fuck. Because they have ZERO competition in my area. I wonder how the FCC would get by without its bribes.

Time Warner screws random customers out of $9 each.

Once Comcast owns Time Warner, be sure to record every phonecall you have with them.

Hahaha the art used in this article is so low-effort I can't even.

They even credited Shutterstock with the image, which seems incorrect.

E: All-star art page. TPR's has a crayon man with poop.

So How much do yall pay for cable, and what do you get for it?
For the past two years, we've been paying $109/ month for:
1 digital cable box
1 digital cable box + PVR
Digital cable (no premium channels, but ESPN, etc)
30mbps down / 5mbps down Internet
Home phone service (includes domestic long distance).

Our bill just went to $142/month, which is high to me.

TWC lets me see how much bandwidth I use each month:
April: 296 GB
May: 528 GB
June: 303 GB
July: 625 GB (I think I accidentally seeded a torrent)

I wouldn't even know how to begin logging into my TWC account.

The wife handles the bills, and I don't feel like going up 2 floors to the accounting department. We have DirecTV but are still using TWC for internet and phone. We keep talking about duping the phone but never get around to it. She says the DTV bills get higher each month so as soon as we can without penalty we will probably go back to TWC for TV just to get the cheap 12 months. Then go back to DTV, when we can, for another cheap 12 months, etc etc.

Comcast still working to stifle competition.

The evil fucks are even claiming it is to protect poor people.

The FCC is knocking it out of the park recently.

A full month later, nothing has changed. Random drops/disconnects hourly or bihourly. Makes working from home an absolute bitch.

Additionally, Xfinity seems to have something against MGM or maybe the latter didn't kickback enough to the former, because the MGM channel comes in choppy and pixelated. Like watching it on dialup. Huge coincidence it's one of the commercial-free* (mostly) channels? Maybe, but I've sure as shit never seen the Xfinity On-Demand channel come in like this. Pisses me off, though, because there are decent movies on there I'd DVR except for the shitty quality.

Xfinity conveniently killed my internet connection from about 11:57am CST to 12:05pm CST. On the first Sunday of fantasy football season. Motherfuck you.

After the random disconnects and pixelated channels stop, xfinity lowers the bar by dropping internet and cable tonight. Fucking die, you cunts.

Awesome. The shitty cable TV channels and shitty internet connections have officially gotten into full swing. Motherfuck the FCC and everyone at Time Warner and Xfinity.

I'm going to switch to sling.tv and Ooma from TWC and see what happens.

Since there is legally zero competition around, xfinity tends to slack heavily on maintenance this time of year.

I heard the FCC was going to begin to address the ban on municipalities setting up their own networks.
