Lakeland shooter's brother is found trespassing at the scene of the crime.

The Broward County Sheriff's Office said in an arrest report that Zachary Cruz, 18, "surpassed all locked doors and gates and proceeded to ride his skateboard through school grounds" and told investigators that he visited the school to "reflect on the school shooting and to soak it in."

They're trying to turn the argument away from bullying and back to guns just like the NRA tries to steer the conversation away from guns and onto games or bullying.

I may be in the minority on this, but part of me feels bad for this particular shooter. Not that he won't deserve any sentence they hand down, but I don't know how much more a mentally ill person could do as far as crying out for help. Even going as far as calling authorities and telling them he's having trouble. So many lives could have been saved and altered if people had just done their damned jobs.

According to a study on Democide by R. J. Rummel 300 million deaths in the 20th century are due to government violence and war.

Of that number 41 million were because of war.

More than 260 million of those deaths were governments killing their own people.

(Rummel apparently died in 2014 and that study was originally published in 2006.)
