One thing that will be a little interesting is to see what deaths from all causes look like post-corona (assuming there is one). One would expect some kind of decline as the virus accelerated some fairly ill people's deaths.

Two people who work at our neighborhood pool got the virus... and each worked at least one shift while ill. Pool is closed, county health is going to attempt contact tracing.

If only we had those contact tracing apps people were supposed to be making?

At any rate... Gordon's right, it wasn't worth closing down the economy. Not enough people took it seriously, and with varying lockdowns across the country, it wasn't enough to make a difference. We probably should have just told everyone to wear masks, stay home as much as possible, etc, and reduced capacities at some businesses, etc. More like people are doing as Phase 1 or 2.

Yeah, but can it catch heart disease or cancer?

I wonder which region took stay at home more seriously?

Right?

More than half of all states seeing a rise, and C-19 rising big time in 20-30 year olds.

Quick, guess which of these 6 states has a mask wearing mandate that can be enforced? (There are certainly other factors at play, I don't know what state of 're-opening' each state is in, etc, but that's the one variable I do know)

I just read VA's guidelines, and they seem to be similar to NCs, with the exception that VA is allowing gyms to re-open, and NC is not.

I feel like hospitalizations are a better measure, given the issues with testing (or testing needs to have the % positive, etc with it)but yeah.

I think they are mostly passed that stage at Phase 2. Phase 3 is when they study possible side effects.
