I agree that many do it, but an American addict with ZERO experience or skills reaching about to the Ukraine about a board position is a stretch. Biden has been a politician for almost 50 years. Why is it so hard to believe he would use his position to help himself or his kid?

Such a stance is one you've taken many times here before about how politicians are corrupt.

[insert mocking tone/comment about your biased choices]

But seriously, ABC is left according to most of the media watchdog things out there. WSJ is considered center though (except for their opinions page). I will have to give it a look. I believe I even get a free subscription while I'm enrolled in business school. Although, they also say Reuters is center, who I follow on Twitter, and I've seen some slightly biased reporting lately. Not all though, so perhaps it's just an anomaly? I have always heard Al Jazera was the most unbiased news source on the planet, but I think it would severely lack local news...

It's not hard to believe, but there's been SSOOOOOO much attention to it, and zero.

Prove it. I've not seen that.

WSJ is considered a bit to the right, even excluding their opinion page.

Hard to prove a handshake deal ever took place. Although, just to counter, IF Hunter was the one to initiate it all, where is that evidence?

Yeah, I've seen that one and I don't really agree with their ratings, particularly after spending so much time on CNN after the past year or two. Stories can be accurate, but the reporting of them still biased. Additionally, when you simply don't cover stories, what is that?

Also, Vice, Vox, and HuffPo only being in the "skews left" category is like saying Trump is only slightly an asshole.

It's sad we even need rankings like this, and sadder that they aren't all really closely in line.

Also this.

Troy, I hope you saw my post from earlier today. Don't want you thinking we are vehemently opposed or in a war of words.

I don't want to offend you but I was serious when I said It's not worth doing talking or reading about comparing the candidates. I'm just done.

And that's why I wrote it. I'm pretty done with being assigned opinions.

I had to save the elderly HR block accountant lady who I went to this morning about an audit question (IRS fucked up) from an irate mask-less Trump supporter who would not stop trying to get into their office despite their protests. "The pandemic is a hoax" "I don't have to wear a mask"

I'm so done with these people.

I almost stepped in at a McDonald's. Dude was giving an employee a bunch of shit for "talking to him about his mask" during a previous visit. The customer got very much in the face of the employee and threatened to beat his ass if he ever talked to him that way again. The employee was a male who might have weighed 135 pounds. I'm thinking "what kind of piece of shit alpha male wannabe threatens people like this?" I'm at the ready to tackle the guy if he gets physical. The employee stands and take it. And when he thinks the guy is done says "Ok. Have a nice day!". I think "Ok. Handled well kid."

Then, as the customer was about to the exit door, the kid yells out "If you're going to spank me, leave a welt!" Then bolts to the back of the store. The customer comes back to the counter with all kinds of profanity. I'm like "Ok, you're on your own now kid!"

Not the same kind of anti-masker story. More of an Alpha Male wannabe story. But still mask related!

My favorite masks are the Trump 2020 masks. The irony of them is hilarious.

Pandora is being besieged by political ads for both idiots, and it has sparked questions for me:

1. Trump's latest ads are attacking Biden's ties to China, and not implying, but saying that he made millions illegally through deals there while he was VP. I know there's smoke there, but aside from Hunter's buddy who is doing the "tell all" tour, I have yet to see actual proof. So how is this legal? If it is legal, why has nobody from Biden's team countered by talking about Trump's relationship to Epstein, and just outright say "Donald likes to diddle little girls!"

2. Meanwhile, Biden's latest talks about "finally getting a healthcare plan that works and is affordable". Uh, didn't your old boss already give us that? Why are you throwing him under the bus? You had 8 years in office and a Dem controlled Senate, why didn't you make it happen then? Why would I trust you and your party to do it this time when you already had the means and opportunity before yet, by your own admission, failed?

Hilariously, as I type this, an ad is running for a local Dem senator and is attacking his R opponent on the basis that "he wants to replace Obamacare". So does your presidential candidate!!! Are you people not communicating?!

Imagine a world where a law was passed that demanded absolute truth in political advertisements. :D

Everything the republican says is bullshit, everything the democrat says is gospel from on high.

Am I doing this right?

I just don't know. Biden has released 20 years of tax returns, if this were true, it'd all be there. I mean, unless it's hidden offshore and shit.

Because the Republicans would let Obama do more than he did. Remember how it only passed due to a squirrely interpretation of the rules to harmonize the Senate + House because the Dems lost their 60 person Senate supermajority and the filibuster used to exist?

The R wants to remove/weaken/cripple Obamacare, the presidential candidate in question wants to improve/expand it.

I buy exactly zero of anyone's tax returns. Nobody would know where to hide money more than the people who make the laws. Hunter Biden, just as an example, would be a great place to stash cash for later. Like setting him up with a cushy gig that he never shows up for, but it can justify his sudden wealth. :D

First of all, they had at least two years to get it done. Secondly, and this might be insane, but how about compromising and finding a solution that works for everyone? And since I'm in nutjob territory I might as well go all the way and say, and a plan that actually helps Americans without punishing others.

Again I will ask, "Why didn't we just count the number of uninsured and then ask for bids from insurance companies and go with the lowest one?"
TheCatt wrote: The R wants to remove/weaken/cripple Obamacare, the presidential candidate in question wants to improve/expand it.
Oh, I understand where they're coming from, but the wording in their ads do not represent these nuanced approaches. Everything is pushed to the extreme because "it's the most important election EVAH!"

First warning was, "We need to pass it so we can see what's in it." Second warning was, congressmen and staff were exempt from having to use it. And the proof is that people who now pay for health insurance can't afford to use it, with a $5k yearly deductible being pretty common. It's nice that the poor now have insurance that no one else can afford to use, but Obamacare was a disaster from the beginning. This is the kind of thing people will base their votes on. "Because of the democrats I can no longer afford to go to the doctor."

On the other hand, Promedica is based in Toledo and is now the largest employer, and they're building lots of new buildings and revitalizing run-down areas. I hope they're buying a lot of lawmakers so nothing gets fixed, Toledo would suffer without the middlemen.

Was The New York Post story in this thread? The one about Hunter Biden's laptop and the incriminating emails about his dad and China? I believe it was, so here's the follow up (and to be clear, I'm not posting this because of that article, this is about Twitter):

If you remember, posting the article got the Post suspended from Twitter, and Twitter also made it impossible for their users to share the story. They were suspended for posting a false story, which now appears might have some truth within it (per the FBI and this Biden friend). So how is Twitter handling that?

Jack has told the Post that they are welcome to be unsuspended IF they remove the "original offending tweet", and then they are welcome to tweet out the exact same article that previously got them suspended. WTF?

What kind of petty, little man shit is that? Additionally, if a giant social media outlet refuses to allow a story that might influence the election, shouldn't that itself be a story?
