ESPN simulated the season.
I don't buy it because the WTFers didn't win their division, but the Steelers' results were really accurate because they're so Tomlin.
!RmindMe 1/10/2022
ESPN: WTFers: 8-9; Steelers - 9-8
Well, they nailed one of those. And WTFers at 7-10 not far off. They kinda predicted that end of season slump. Whiff on the Lions' 7-10 vs 3-13-1. And the Brown's being 12-5, Colts 13-4.

That's the same side of the field where we had season tickets, COINCIDENCE? Probably. For a couple of years, we were right on the visitor team tunnel, but never fell down.

Panthers cut Joey Slye, pick up
Ryan Santoso, who you've never heard of.
The dude is a K, right? He's 6'5" and 260 lbs. He also has a
sweet stache.
Undrafted in 2018, keeps kicking around camps, and finally got signed. Has never made a regular season appearance.
!RmindMe 1/10/2022
Santoso got waived 2 weeks in. Zane Gonzalez was around most of the season, and was replaced by Lirim Hajrullahu when Zane got injured.

Bill Barnwell has written a column the last few years where he uses numbers and history to predict the 5 teams that will decline. He's 16 of 20 on these predictions with three matching their previous record and one team beating their prior year's be a game.
Here are his five predictions for 2021:
Buffalo Bills (13-3)
KC Chiefs (14-2)
Cleveland Browns (11-5)
GB Packers (13-3)
Tennessee Titans (11-5)
Catt, insert the RmindMe tag here. (We need a button for that.)
!RmindMe 1/10/2022
Actuals:
Bill 11-6 (-2)
Chiefs 12-5 (-2)
Browns 8-9 (-3)
Packers 13-4 (even)
Titans 12-5 (+1)

WTFers 9-8
Browns: 12-5
Steelers: 7-10... but I feel like they could squeeze out 8-9.
Panthers: 8-9... but that's the top end, imho. more likely to be 7-10 than 9-8
Schedules are out.
Vegas
Vegas: 8, 9.5, 8.5, 7.5 (teams in same order as up top)
Leisher:
WTFers 10-7
Browns 12-5
Steelers 9-8
Panthers 4-13
ESPN: 8, 10, 8, 8 - Suspiciously close to vegas' results.
WTFers 7
Browns 8
Steelers 9
Panthers 5
So I was 11 off.
Vegas 4.5 off
Leisher 8 off
ESPN: 7 off
Good job, Vegas.

Meanwhile, Haskins, who actually participated in drills, is making his case as a prototypical QB.

Minshew has had a few moments. Jones has been a mediocre starter. Haskins is a backup, and only Murray has done well.

Tomlin slept through Chargers-Raiders.
Honestly, I agree with his decision. Why bother getting off schedule for something you can't control? Wake up the next morning, see what happened, get ready to play the team you'll play.

This just made me realize the Lions didn't fire Campbell. Good on them. The guy started off as a giant walking cliche, but settled down and his shitty team played hard for him. If they get some talent in there, they could do something.

I'm guessing you never tried to reach out and congratulate the other team on their victory.

I always tell my kids to only worry about the things you can control and not the things you can't.
This kind of feels like a shot at AB.

My brother always gave me grief though, cuz I'd give them a polite clap. No reason to be an asshole to people.

McDaniels was cheating in Denver in a very familiar way.
People can say whatever they want, but the Patriots 6 titles, Belicheck, and Brady are forever tainted by Spygate. A scandal isn't a minor issue when the controlling body, in this case the NFL, destroys all evidence and refuses to ever comment on the actual details of what was done wrong.

That is unexpected, imho.
Raiders
Broncos
Jaguars
Bears
Vikings
Dolphins
Right?
And Giants.
And Texans. (Who's David Culley? Did not recognize his name at all)

Flores told Tua some mean shit.
There is nothing wrong with this if he was just trying to fire Tua up. Brown, a QB coming into OSU next year, said his dad used to fire him up by telling him what QBs were outperforming him. He said it was constructive, not abusive and stoked his competitive fire.

Interesting. Cincy scored a TD on a Burrow pass to go up 19-6, but an erroneous whistle blown before the pass was completed, by rule, means the down should have been replayed. The refs allowed the TD and the Bengals are up 20-6. Let's see if it matters.
