Well, BOO! to you too asshole!
Quantity and quality do matter, but that's where I think this conversation gets really interesting because it swings us back around to the MSM. Most of the MSM leans hard left, and that's indisputable. We also know that "facts" are sometimes irrelevant in getting a story out in today's MSM climate. Additionally, we know that opinion has found its way into the news more so than ever. And finally, we know that studies have been done showing what parts of an article people consume, and it can be shown that there is a trend to put certain details towards the later parts of an article that may not justify whatever headline. I wanted to get this one out of the way. Agree 10000000% Trump is the absolute worst PR for Trump. He alone spreads so much disinformation, and I don't know if it's intentional, accidental, a result of mental illness, or some combination of those factors.
However, on the right of the political spectrum you only have Trump and a limited number of MSM outlets. The left is bursting at the seams with "credible" MSM outlets. In fact, there has been a very focused push over the years to showcase left leaning outlets as credible and factual, while right leaning outlets are propaganda machines telling lies. Anyone with an IQ above 100 knows this sort of extreme thinking is horseshit as both sides have been caught lying and both sides are biased, but the fact remains that there is a propaganda war going on between the MSM outlets.
Another really, really important fact in all of this is that half of all Americans have an IQ under 100.
So when you have so many MSM outlets, most of Hollywood (who blacklists anyone not towing the line), and the tech giants (who all originated in some form from super liberal Silicon Valley) all pushing an agenda of "everything Dems do is perfect and everything Rs do is the greatest evil known to mankind" then it's going to be difficult for more middle of the road people to not be somewhat influenced by that. The Rs certainly don't help matters when they make dumb decisions and say dumb things, but the Ds do just as much, but it always gets underreported and is never focused upon. The last Senator to go to prison for taking bribes was a black male Dem during Obama's years and nobody really gave a shit. The fact that people think the Obama administration had no scandals proves how underreported they were. Look at the graph you posted about debate interruptions. None of us had any idea that Barrack was doing so much interrupting probably because the MSM didn't focus on it like they do Trump. When's the last time the MSM kept track of any other president's (or ANY politician's) lie count?
Doesn't matter how strong of will a person is or how smart they are, a constant barrage of lies or even skirting the real truth of any issue WILL affect your overall belief about the issue.

And it isn't just the politicians, it filters down to regular folk who just believe whatever feels right without evidence, and challenge someone else to provide evidence when they disagree. Everyone lies, all the time. If you don't believe that, you're fooling yourself.
Right?
