Alright, we got a weekly survivor football pick thing at the office. One pick per week. Only get to use each team once, at most. All weeks are elimination. Last man standing wins.

Already used : Minnesota, New Orleans

Thinking ...
pick Steelers v. Bengals (likely)
pick Ravens v. Browns (likely)
pick Chicago v. Seattle (eh, maybe, seems like a safe bet & how often is Chicago even relatively safe?)

Do not pick the Steelers over the Bengals. Sure, Ben is currently undefeated in Ohio since joining the NFL, but this game doesn't bode well.

Troy is out, his backup is gimpy, Woodley is still gimpy, the D is getting no pressure on opposing QBs right now, Holmes is hurt, and the Bengals are really playing well.

The Steelers have some easy games coming up including Detroit, KC, Cleveland twice, Oakland, etc. Save your pick for one of those games as it'll be a layup.

The Ravens over the Browns is a slam dunk, but here's the thing, you can only use a team once. The Ravens play the same teams I just listed for Pittsburgh...

Save that pick.

Chicago over the Seahawks is the way I'd go. Sure, they won't be as sure a thing as Baltimore over the Browns, but with Hasselbeck out, it's pretty close to a sure thing.

Don't forget to get your picks in.

My "With spread" picks last week were a dumpster fire, so I took some risks this week to hopefully catch up.

I would take the Ravens.

LA is going to get an NFL team soon.

Prediction #1: The Jaguars leave Jacksonville and move to LA.

Prediction #2: They will join the AFC West.

Prediction #3: Kansas City will move to the AFC South.

Definitely waiting on Hasselbeck's status. If Seneca Wallace is in, I'll try Matt Forte's retarded younger brother over the Seahawks.

You picked New Orleans as an easy win over Philly?

Really?

hehe, that got my attention too Troy.

But without McNabb I suppose it could be considered easy. Who knew Kolb would play so good.

If you're paying attention to order, I picked the Saints in the first week & the Vikings second.

Boom.

I heard Vick is suiting up this week.

Because you listed them like that, both Troy and I thought you used Minny, THEN NO.

I heard Vick is suiting up this week.

Yes, but they've said he will not play QB, and honestly, why would he? Kevin Kolb threw for 400 yards last week.

Kolb's still a backup & he isn't going to have the less than stellar secondary of New Orleans, the same team that let Detroit hit them for 20-something points.

& it's the NFL, any QB is one solid hit away from a season-ending injury.

Hasselbeck situation is uncertain. Going for the Cowboys over the Panthers on Monday.

See you in the league this week, Leish.

The Panther fan in me is hoping you go down in flames.

The realist in me... is another story.

Someday the Vikings are going to play a real team & this sandbagging shit thru the first two quarters is going to cost them.
