I'm oddly without any enthusiasm for this at this point. And I really liked Man of Steel. But to be fair, I had great reservations about The Avengers as well. But at least I cared about it.

And a new Green Lantern movie will also arrive in 2020, nine years after the first Green Lantern movie made $220 million worldwide, slightly more than the opening weekend gross of Avengers.
Come on. Shitting on the same character twice in one decade is uncalled for.

They could cast Poochie the Dog as Robin and it wouldn't bad as shitty as Affleck being Bats.

I'm not sure they would have kept him even if he had kept his hat in the ring, but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that a person would regret backing away from a cash cow.

I would have been excited if it was Nolan's Batman in the movie. When it comes to Aflek all I can picture is Clooney's batman. SO I am expecting major suckage, my expectations can't be lower. That's probably good.

Define "Nolan's Batman". Do you mean Bale or the character?

Bale, with the same (why so?) serious tone. I just have a feeling we're going to get a Aflek performance and a Schwarzenegger "ICE TO MEET YOU" tone and "Holey rusted metal, Batman."

I would argue that Nolan's films just happened to also include Batman and Bale didn't really do much. Plus, that voice was terrible.
