Tebow not going to Jaguars. While it's hard to say with 100% certainty he's not ever going to get a starting QB job, it's starting to look that way.

Looks like you can actually motivate Flacco not to suck. If only he didn't slack off so goddamned much in the regular season.

Green Bay finally found a team that can outscore them. Course, if their defense didn't phone it in, they might have had a chance. A running game would help, too. Come to think of it, Green Bay is an Aaron Rodgers concussion away from being the next Philadelphia Eagles.

Yeah, GB's walking a fine line, and I think it's catching up to them.

I could play Safety for Denver's prevent D, btw. I was watching that, and just. could. not. believe it. Wow. What a fuck up.

Go Falcons/Texans.

Denver: 40 rushing attempts spread over 3 RBs with roughly a 2:1:1 ratio. 115 rushing plus six catches for 48 yards. Peyton has a decent stat line (290 + 3 TDs) with roughly a 67% completion score over 43 attempts. Except those two picks, not bad.

Baltimore: 35 rushing attempts from 2 RBs, 30 of them from Ray Rice. 145 rushing plus a score. No catches, though, which is shocking as hell for Ray Rice. Flacco, ~50% completion for 40 more yards with ~20% fewer attempts and gets just as many TDs. He does not throw one pick, which is what may have saved Baltimore.

Conclusions:

1) Denver's secondary wasn't that bad this season. However, they did give up the big play a bit too much and you'll notice Flacco threw a couple long TDs in addition to Ray Rice ripping a 30+ yard run.

2) The sum of 3 mediocre RBs still doesn't add up to what 1 good RB can do. "Keeping the position fresh," is another way of saying, "We really need the other team's defense to be way, way more tired than our tailback before we hope to achieve success."

3) Turnovers kill, do not take stupid chances while throwing. Both Baltimore and Denver lost a fumble. Flacco threw zero INTs. Peyton threw 2, one got returned for a score.

Go Falcons/Texans.

I'd like seeing the Texans go against the Ravens. I'm pulling for Seattle mainly because I'd like to see them go against Frisco. I'm pretty certain the 49ers would stomp the Falcons right now.

From Bill Simmons' latest column:
By the way, the big winner of that Vikings-Packers game was Christian Ponder — he would have almost definitely stunk in that game, followed by a spring and summer of "Are the Vikings wasting Peterson's prime with Ponder?" questions. Instead, Vikings fans are saying things like, "I can't believe how much we missed Ponder!"

Does he look better compared to Webb's shit-tacular performance? Yeah. Doesn't change the fact that a couple years from now, he'll be gone.

Two of the biggest assholes in the NFL coaching against each other, and they happen to be brothers.

Meanwhile, The Patriots' streak of no Super Bowl victories since they were caught cheating continues...

Belicheck declined to be interviewed following the game. What a piece of shit.

Shannon Sharpe just called him out on it too. Said he's a poor sport and does this whenever he loses.

Suggs rips the Pats.

He and I agree on #12 being overrated.

Shannon Sharpe calling someone classless is interesting but beyond that what exactly is the losing coach of any team suppose to do or say?

I don't think Belichick would be a very fun person to be around by any stretch of the imagination so what really did we miss out on?

"Losing is never fun, I tip my cap to them."

"They made more plays."

"Take a few days off and then start planning for next year."

"Take it one game at a time and give 110%."

What has ever been learned from a half time or post game interview? Other than John McKay being asked what he thought of his teams execution and him replying "I'm all for it."

If I spent all year working towards something and then came up just short I think think my response to Erin Andrews(or whatever other pointless reporter was there) stupid questions would be to fuck off.

Wes Welker's wife on Ray Lewis:
"Proud of my husband and the Pats. By the way, if anyone is bored, please go to Ray Lewis' Wikipedia page. 6 kids 4 wives. Acquitted for murder. Paid a family off. Yay. What a hall of fame player! A true role model!"

Classless. Disrespectful. Reeks of poor sportsmanship. Ray's legacy on the field can't and shouldn't be questioned by anyone.

But is there a good point in there? After all, without sports Ray Lewis does what with his life? On the same note, without Notre Dame's fluke run to the title last year, isn't Brian Kelly still that coach who got a kid killed?
