I would argue that they have 4 good ones.

Rainey is the quick back that catches passes.

Redman is Jerome Bettis without the hands and can block.

Dwyer is Bettis light and can block.

Mendenhall is the closest to a complete package, but he's insane, fumbles a lot, and gets hurt too much.

Their problem is that they need someone to be really consistent.

They've all sucked this season. Sucked hard. If you took the good parts of all four of them, you might have a serviceable player.

In other news, the Jets are allegedly looking to trade Dirty Sanchez. The only question becomes if they CFL player they get in exchange can play at NFL levels.

No they haven't.

They've all shown flashes of brilliance, but all have also been hurt for more than one or two games and all have fumbled more than we'd like.

They've far from sucked though.

The Steelers running game has worse rushing yards than every NFL team except the Chargers, Falcons, Raiders, Jaguards, Cowboys, Cardinals. These are not peers you want. Only the Packers, Jags, Chargers, Rams, and Raiders have fewer rushing TDs. Being in the bottom 15% in those two categories means suckage.

Not really. Stats don't always tell the whole tale.

The Steelers had a three game stretch where teams focused on stopping the run.

They have one of the league's best QBs, and thus, score a lot through the air.

Their line isn't just one of the league's worst, it's also one of the heaviest hit with injuries.

This is their first year with a new offensive coordinator, so the whole offense has learned a new scheme, and a new guy is calling plays.

Every RB has been hurt throughout the season and missed games so it's been hard to get consistency.

But yeah, it's all the RBs fault and they suck.

Why their running game hasn't been performing isn't the issue. The issue is that it hasn't produced like it did in previous years, and they don't have a clear starter; they've got parts of a starter in each member of their RB committee. It'd be nice if they had one dude that could catch passes and be a north-south type bloke while another could be the blocker/snowplow back. A 2-headed RB group might work. The foursome ain't doing it, ask New Orleans, a team which also has an average rush yards and rush TDs per game somewhere in the neighbourhood of the Steelers. If they could combine Sproles and Ivory, then make another RB out of Ingram and Pierre Thomas, they'd have something.

I'm also not calling Big Ben one of the league's best QBs.

You've obviously watched every Steelers game this year and follow the team intensely.

We agree to disagree.

In the lead for the league MVP before going down to injury this year. Yeah, he sucks!

I pray Tebow's available this offseason because we can't all start Ponder.

"not the best" != "sucks."

For the record, given the chance, I'd start Tebow over Ponder. Fuck Ponder. Tebow's got a better chance of improving. Big Ben was also in the lead before AP went on a tear.

Quite honestly, based on your level of negativity towards all things, I suppose saying something sucks is polite praise.

Big Ben was also in the lead before AP went on a tear.

AP went on a tear? Has anyone else noticed?

I'm teasing, but not. Seriously, his season might be the most unreported thing of consequence that's occurring this season. I've seen Cam Newton's asshole behavior covered a LOT more. In fact, I'm pretty sure I've only seen AP's season discussed once. (Keep in mind that I don't live in Minnesota.)

I've seen AP discussed A LOT (not as much as RG3, but c'mon - That dude is special), especially the past two weeks. If he breaks the record, it'll be all over the place.

I've been hearing about him a shitload. Then again, considering where I live, it's not shocking. But I'm not hearing about it on the regional shows or anything, it's all national broadcast shit. Fuck, considering the crap run Ds he's got to go (@Houston, GB), he's got a decent shot. AP and his blockers aren't part of the offense; they are the fucking offense. Their defense also got rung for 22 points by St. Louis. St. Fucking. Louis. Hell, without the 200+ rushing yards knocking up the T.O.P. for the Vikes, that easily could've been 25-30. If the clock kept running on incomplete passes, Minnesota would be leading the division by now.

I'd bet everything I have that if the Vikings started Joe Webb, they'd have a shot at doing something interesting next year. He's not that good, but he's a damn sight better than Mr. Samantha Steele.

I'll call "best" as my top three (roughly the top 10%), however you define it is your thing. Big Ben will be on the top ten.

Right now (and my rankings change as I see performances, stats, and games) ...

1 Brady
2 Peyton
3 RG3
4 Brees
5 Rodgers
6 Cam
7 Big Ben
8 Matt Ryan (mainly due to numbers)
9 Luck
10 Russell Wilson (dude seems for real)

Extra special losers I've heard called "elite" left off the list: Eli Manning, Tony Romo

I cant see how Cam could be a top 10 QB. Top 15, probably. I'd rather have Romo or Schaub than Cam.

Beat the Cowboys - Win the Division!

I think we otherwise need: Giants, Vikings, and Bears to lose at least once to make the wild card.

(Assuming Cowboys lose)

I have 3 QBs on my fantasy team:
Eli Manning
Schaub
Foles

So far they have 4, 7, and 17 points respectively. Wtf Eli?

Schaub's an average QB on a run-heavy team. He's always just an Andre Johnson injury away from being worthless. Romo is a dude that's had years to prove himself and has consistently failed. Cam's certainly more mobile and I think his passing game is only going to improve. I can't say the same for Tony or Matt. I'll also say Eli's in the same category as Romo. Foles will get better in a couple years, maybe. If his team can keep from getting injured, he'll probably be ok.

For the first time ever, I think, I'm going to keep a QB in my league. Keeping Lynch, Crabtree, Welker, and Russell Wilson.

In other news, let's talk about SF and their QB situation. I'm still trying to figure out why Colin's starting. Alex gets you a winning record, he's not screwing up especially badly, then he gets concussed and Kaepernick takes over. Why?
