You're Sgt. Beckett and you are a member of an elite military unit. However, Alma is about to make her presence known again, and for some reason, you're tied into Armacham, the company behind Alma's creation.
They essentially abandon the brothers from the first game for Sgt. Beckett. It's ok because they keep all the basics of the first game, which I don't want to get into as it might be a spoiler.
Just expect a lot more creepy moments, a whole lot of really fantastic gun play, the same basic game play elements, more Alma, and a lot more environments than the first game.
In fact, if I had to review this game in one sentence, it'd be: "Exactly like the first game, except a new main character and we've finally left that office building."
And don't let that seem like a negative sentence. This game is a lot of fun with a great mix of weapons, environments, and enemies. Plus, the story is solid, and very well told.
It's a solid game for FPS and horror fans. Pick it up during the next Steam sale.

Lots of little moments like that in both of the sequels, but not as cool as that one. There are some really good moments though.
