My new PC 2012

I think you paid a premium for the name on the side of the case.
You don't see the problem with your argument do you?
Troy, explain it to him:
I think the big thing is that most of us buy personal computers at the bet price point, more bang for your buck. $1,000 built me a rig that still cranks through any game I throw at it.
Now if work were paying for it.... I would blow the fuck out of that budget, even for a 50% increase in computing/gaming ability.
Exactly.
I've built PCs. Still do for private clients. However, I'm checking out what custom made PC maker Falcon Northwest brings to the table, and I'm doing it for $0. For that price it could be a 20% decrease in performance compared to yours and it'd still be awesome.
In 3 years, when I go to buy my next one, we'll see where my experience has taken me.
Oh, and in those three years, if I want to boost performance here or there with additional RAM or a new video card or two, I can. Again, $0.
When I have my annual, "let's get rid of our programmer", talk with my boss, I'm sure that if I can finally get you in there, you'll be sure to turn down the Falcon Northwest computer I'd purchase for you.

Ok, HERE you big baby! It's the same specs as my son's, except for the 2670 CPU instead of his 2630. I actually have this in my watch list now. If it hits the 1k-ish mark, I'm getting it. I don't NEED a new laptop, so it's not in my cart. But again, if it hit $1,100 like his did, it will be. At $1,100, it's a MUST HAVE. At $1350, it's an appropriately priced awesome F'ing laptop. Actually, I think it's an aggressively priced awesome F'ing laptop.
However, he said that you aren't allowed to have this laptop because you don't game with us any more and therefor, do not deserve it. It's too good for you.

Also, no i don't, since you only said about half of your point.
No idea what this means.
See if they can also modify it with the "thicker skin" option.
Said the pot to the kettle. Seriously, why are you being a woman? I'm not allowed to defend myself against your silliness and if I do I'M the one who needs thicker skin?
The only reason we are fucking with you is because we are jealous and wish someone would buy us a $4500 PC.
Yeah, no shit.
Well, I figured YOU were...I'll be honest, I don't have the slightest clue what Cake is babbling about. That's not a joke. He's going on and on about spending money (I'm not), and buying laptops (I'm not). And he claims to have a son and they both play online games or something. Not sure what that has to do with anything, but I haven't seen Cake online in forever, and his kid is online about as often as Jesus comes back to Earth.

I may have been missing the last couple of days. But lets look at the last year. Last 5 years. Last 10 years! You'd lose that one.
Play better games.

Yeah, mine did this as well. It didn't tell me why though, just a restart.
I guessed what had happened though, and after running the diagnostic realized it was the CPU. I was then worried I had damaged the chip.
Luckily the i5's are tanks, and some people operate them at really high temps for O/Cing.

Looking to build a new server finally to replace my old one.
Was looking at:
MSI R7770-PMD1GD5 Radeon HD 7770 GHz Edition 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card
$15.00 Mail-in Rebate Card

CORSAIR Vengeance 32GB (4 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 Desktop Memory Model CMZ32GX3M4X1600C10
$209.99
ASUS P8Z77-V LK LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard with UEFI BIOS
$20.00 Mail-in Rebate Card
$139.99
Intel Core i7-3770K Ivy Bridge 3.5GHz (3.9GHz Turbo) LGA 1155 77W Quad-Core Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics 4000 BX80637I73770K
$339.99
COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 EVO RR-212E-20PK-R2 Continuous Direct Contact 120mm Sleeve CPU Cooler Compatible with latest Intel ...
$5.00 Mail-in Rebate
$34.99
Subtotal: $849.95
I've got a tower case already, and 14 hard drives, so I dont need any storage/case.
The graphics card isn't super good since I rarely play games. 32GB RAM is for server (Databases, etc)

Looks like a little heater. For me there is a tradeoff between power consumption and performance... my server sits idle 90% of the time, I don't want it spinning my power meter too much.
And yeah, sleep mode/wake up on lan is still flaky, as far as I can tell. I usualy have to "wake it up" manually by trying to open a file on the server (have a file shortcut on my desktop), then there's about a 10 second delay before it is on the LAN. Kind of a pain when I open Winamp and just want to hit "play" on the music folder. Used to be 2 mouse clicks, now it is a process.
