Looking up MegaMillions fun facts, I learn that every state running this game, with the exclusion of CA, TX, NJ, and WA, charge a state tax on winnings... a tax on winnings on top of the fact you paid them to play in the first place, on top of they already keep X% of the money peeps paid to play.
