First, reboot.
Then tell me what you were doing at the time and how long your PC has been running?

Sounds like you got a bug on there.
Know how to run hijackthis? or do you have malwarebytes anti-malware installed?
If not, you might have to wait for your IT department to come home. If you can't wait I can fix it, but I'm booked tonight.

I'm sure it's nothing your boy can't handle when he gets home. Tell him to call me if he needs support.

Some possibilities according to this reasonably helpful thread at MS support forums: a bad toolbar plug-in, or spyware.
"ATTENTION: Customers browsing porn must hold magazines with both hands at all times!"
I cannot stand those fucking toolbars from google, yahoo, msn, etc.
If a computer I'm working on has one installed, it gets removed.
When I looked at threads regarding this issue, I saw Vundo mentioned. That's a nasty virus. You can use malwarebytes anti-malware to remove it. Hopefully, you don't have it and it is just a toolbar causing the issue.
MD, to remove a toolbar, go into Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel, find all the toolbars and remove them all. They'll be listed as "yahoo toolbar", "google toolbar", etc.
