Eh, I expect this will just spur more competition as providers willing to not buckle under pressure from the RIAA and MPAA will spring up to service the customers that don't want to put up with the censorship of their internet feed.
There's a whole lot of perfectly legal and legitimate file sharing going on. This is like refusing to sell cars because sometimes people use them to commit crimes.

Well, no one is "banning" this yet. It's not the government doing it, it's the service providers voluntarily doing it. That's different. Government's banning things is a whole other kettle of fish. And one of the main reasons that governments are evil.
