Air Travelers - New Restrictions
If you fly a lot, be aware of new restrictions on batteries.
Basically, if it's installed in a device, you're fine.
If not, then it cannot be in your checked luggage. You can carry batteries in carry on if they're individually wrapped in plastic and smaller than a certain size (in terms of power, not physical size).

Yeah but that wasn't Amtrack.smh6921 wrote:The train from Windsor to Toronto is not bad and since you really don't need a car in Toronto, that was one less hassle. Of course, Canada is to rich for my blood now. Glad we went there a couple years back.

I think I'd be more apt to go Greyhound than go on a train.
For fun I looked up what it'd take to get to Los Angeles from Louisville.
$99 on Greyhound, taking 48 hours, 25 minutes. (Greyhound goes anywhere for a max of $99 if you book a week ahead of time... 10% off for military folk).
That same trip is $182.50 on Amtrak, for the 77.5 hour trip. $260.50 for the 51.25 hour trip. $274.50 for the 83.5 hour trip.
Now, to be fair, there is no Amtrak leaving Louisville so that includes a 2:09 Amtrak ride to Indianapolis (which they book as part of the package). But still!

Here's the schedule. Lotta frigg'n stops... in Texas alone!
There are several others that day that take 1 or 2 hours more, a couple that 3 hours, and one that's 4 hours longer. But still, those are all in the ballpark.
Amtrak 's times are all longer, and all cost significantly more. But I assume the ride will be more comfortable, and the people less creepy.
