Free MS product if you let them monitor you
Link
Products offered (choice of 1):
* Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate (32-bit and 64-bit DVD)
* Microsoft Office Ultimate 2007
* Microsoft Money Plus Premium
* Microsoft Student with Encarta Premium 2008
* Microsoft Streets and Trips 2008
I just put this on 2 computers to get a copy of Vista (under the assumption that they will improve it/force me to it some day) and MS Money, since I use an older version of that now.
So they monitor what you do for 90 days, and in return you get software. I figure if you got a spare computer (or multiple) that don't do much, might as well go there.

It's not me, it's someone else.
Where do you see that it's only for 90 days?
Do you have to do the automated survey to get the free programs or can you just do the feedback one?
I'm not seeing the answers to these questions on the site. Plus, I've signed up and done the initial survey for the feedback one and they've said nothing about free software.
Also, to sign up on two PCs, did you use different names?

“Activism is a way for useless people to feel important, even if the consequences of their activism are counterproductive for those they claim to be helping and damaging to the fabric of society as a whole.” - Dr Thomas Sowell
You have to do both.
It's after 90 days that they send you the software. They want you to keep participating after that date, I would assume. The surveys are every 2 weeks, iirc.
I used two different names/email addresses.
Link that has people discussing the details.
There's an old post about it being dead, but I think MS re-opened it.

update...."Recieve your choice of Vista Ultimate, Office, or other MS software for completing survey (10 minutes or so) and then letting MS monitor your PC for useage for 3months.

I'm reading that you can opt out of the online monitoring, and just take a survey every so often, instead...

"What happened to the free product option?
Thank you for your interest in the feedback program. Due to overwhelming response, the supply of gifts have been exhausted so we have closed our free product offer on 12/11/2007 at 2pm. Thanks to everyone that participated!"
