Yeah, we're saying the same thing.

You know what would eliminate such tactics? Actual punishments.

He's the coach for an NBA team. I have to assume he's getting paid pretty good. He needed to do this too?

Could be pure greed, could be the allure of doing something dangerous, could be he got involved back when he was in high school or college and they still have him by the balls? You never know.

What is a fact is that basketball is the easiest sport to rig.

I really don't blame them for hiding their bet logo. Although, I do wonder how long it will be before a gaming commission realizes that ESPN manipulates futures markets with their SEC shilling.

I'm a stickler for rules, protecting officials, and whatnot, but this is absolute horseshit. I have to believe OP is correct and the gender identity garbage played a role.

Feels excessive. That being said, I played ball + soccer from like age 5 to age 21 (intramural), and you'd never hit a ball to a ref like that. ever.

Agree, but I don't think his intention was sending it to the ref. I think he just smacked it randomly out of frustration.

I don't know that we need to wait until 2029, this trade was a disaster. And the GM was fired.

Simmons proposed a Lakers-Warriors trade and it somehow became an MSN news item.

Honestly, it does make all the sense in the world. James is only playing to win titles and the Lakers are not contenders for probably two more years. The Warriors with James could make a potential run and be interesting to fans as an "older players making one more run" kind of way. Meanwhile, Butler and Luka would be a good pairing and help the Lakers get younger faster, which is in the best interest of the NBA.

Who won?

Smores or frosted strawberry are the only correct answers.

Cherry. By a large margin. Hot Fudge Sundae a distant second followed closely by Strawberry.

The fact that you felt you needed to say "frosted" says you don't know pop tarts. Those unfrosted things are NOT pop tarts. Other than helping you get traction in icy conditions, I have no idea what they are good for.
