Ha! I actually wanted a different Latino (Puerto Rican) actor to play him. Professional wrestler Damian Priest who was considered for the role. The guy playing Namor looks tubby and has zero charisma. Namor, in the books, was an arrogant dick, but also a lady killer. Every guy wanted to punch him or be him, and all the ladies wanted to fuck him.
BTW, another professional wrestler is the dream casting for Storm, and from what I've heard, she's been given a look too:
