Lifting heavy things, and then putting them back down.

You probably can't do it, so don't even try.

Your machine would at least stop telling you how much you suck, and start telling you how awesome you are.

They stopped being sore, and have been replaced by the soreness of my glutes and quads since Thursday.

16th percentile! At this rate I'll be the strongest man around in just 6 months!

Given the price of this thing, I wonder how many of the men are on T protocols or such. Or roids.

30th! Though I'm definitely hitting the part where gains are going to get slow. noob gains ending.

But, I've had my first setback. My hip is still having post-surgical issues, and I've got a fair amount of tendonitis, more than I had thought, after an MRI. So have to chillax a bit. Upperbody/abs only for now.

I like leg day. But my tendons don't.

MRI shows tendonitis in my glutes + hammies, plus a fun tear in my glute medius. Had a cortisone shot for inflammation last week. More PT.

Joined an upper body only program, so doing that for the next 4 weeks. Up to 40th percentile for men (who own a Tonal), which is pretty good considering the plateau of my legs.

I have dedicated myself to starting a program once golf season ends. My arm should be sufficient healed and with the kids on a more normal routine, it'll be a lot easier to eat healthy.

Made it to the 50th percentile for men who own a Tonal! (96th percentile for women! I want to know what % of those women are trans ;) )

Still can't do legs. My arm score is above 500, my legs, which used to be 100 points above my weak arms, are now trailing by 200 points. I miss leg day. I did one set of RDLs just to remind my legs.

I read an article that said that the Tonal lies to the users about their scores just to make them feel better about themselves.

Just kidding. :-)

Lol. Honestly, the weirdest part is how noticeable it's been in day to day life. Everything is just... lighter. But, I've maxed out the beginner gains, cuz shit's getting slow and hard now.

When I used to lift, I liked those times the best. You develop a routine and you're more focused on technique than advancing.

Started an advanced arms program, after 1 beginner and 2 intermediate programs. I could not finish it.

Block 1 - 4 sets of barbell chinups alternating with 4 sets of reverse grip barbell triceps extension

Block 2 - 4 sets of hammer curls alternating with 4 sets of 30s of pushups (I did up to 10 per set).

Block 3 - 3 sets of bicep curls. I finished the first, couldn't finish the second, and didn't try the third. My arms were dead.

Ya. That's the thing about working out. It's fun, until it's not.

The early gains are highly motivating. The later (non)gains are cripplingly demoralizing.

I gave up on the Advanced program. 3 days of it, and I couldn't finish the final block any day. I just don't have the muscle endurance. Started a new intermediate program today. Was solid.

I wore a sleeve from early spring until sometime in July. My arm is much better. I still feel it when lifting heavy things with just that arm, but otherwise, it is mostly healed.
