FYI, if you see "Premium" servers soon, this is a new anti-cheat tactic being used. You won't be able to play on them unless you have $15 worth of stuff purchased on your account. Right now that apparently doesn't include DLCs, but they might be changing that. It definitely does not include the base game.

Apparently, the Facepunch team has found that most cheaters have less than $15 in purchases, and most non-cheaters are above that. The claim is that this is really hard to spoof, and cheaters get banned a ton, so constantly buying additional stuff can add up and be a negative, and thus, not worth it to them.

This will be interesting to see how it works out.

The premium server test to stop cheating is being called a success so far.

4x fewer cheat reports on those servers.

If this continues working I expect you'll see this become an industry standard.

Facepunch is continuing to report success with their anti-cheating tactics.
