Is Gmail better or worse than own server?
Senior members of the Trump administration’s National Security Council — including its top national security adviser, Michael Waltz — used Gmail to conduct government business, The Washington Post reported, citing documents and three unnamed government officials.

The report follows last week’s news that several cabinet-level officials, including Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, discussed highly sensitive war plans in a Signal group chat that also inadvertently included the editor-in-chief of The Atlantic.

Per The Washington Post, an aide to Waltz used the consumer version of Gmail, which is not cleared for government use, to discuss “highly technical conversations with colleagues at other government agencies involving sensitive military positions and powerful weapons systems relating to an ongoing conflict.”

As for the national security adviser himself, Waltz had “less sensitive, but potentially exploitable information” sent to his personal Gmail account, such as schedules and work documents, the report cited the officials as saying.

Burn, probably. I don't know which is safer. Probably depends on the quality of the government employees running the government servers.

Did they learn nothing from Hillary?

Look around at all the morons in government and tell me with a straight face that the government being in charge of anything is a good thing.

Interesting how the legislature remains pretty close to 50/50 between the parties. I mean, if they wanted to rig the entire system to make sure there were two sides to keep everyone riled up, and wanted to make sure each side reaped an equal amount of benefits, and had complete control of 95% of all media, and had the power to make 100% of the laws, what we have is almost exactly what that would look like.

That's a really weird coincidence.

I've been seeing memes on FB, pictures of canadian liquor stores. Bare shelves, mostly, with signs that say "No instead buy canadian stuff." And the remaining half shelf is all the canadian stuff they have.

Because most of their products for sale are american.

Their economy will be hurt much more than america's will, in a trade war. It would behoove them to do whatever they hell they are told to do, because the game is not equal, and their citizens will eventually get pissed at not having stuff.

If its about fentynel crossing the border... does he realize that we control our side of the border and could do a better job or something? IDK maybe he's talking about sneaky crossings. That's something those northern states don't discuss, there are about a thousand small, unpatrolled canadian crossings and logging trails between Minnesota and Washington that don't have gates.

I remember reading years ago that canada was considered a great way to sneak into the USA for immigrants, since their controls were lax, and it was easy to sneak down, after.

In the middle of his hour-long speech, the president displayed a chart that showed the “unfair” fees that countries placed on the US, alongside the new “USA Discounted Reciprocal Tariffs”. China charged the US 67% in “unfair” fees, and said the US would now levy a 34% fee. The EU charges 39% on imports, according to the White House, and will now be levied at 20%. Trump said the UK would be charged 10% – the baseline tariff – equal to the Trump administration’s calculations of the UK’s fees on US imports.

“We will charge them approximately half of what they are and have been charging us,” Trump said in a press conference from the White House Rose Garden. “So, the tariffs will be not a full reciprocal.”

The EU charges a VAT. This is applied to everything, including domestic production. So probably 9% of real tariffs.

Economist Paul Krugman points out that the European Union places tariffs of less than 3% on average on U.S. goods, while Trump maintained its tariffs are 39%.
Trump’s “reciprocal” tariffs (e.g., China 67%, EU 40%) aren’t based on actual foreign tariffs (WTO: China 7.3%, EU 5.2%)
(WTO data source)

Retards are running this country. At any rate, reminder that Congress can stop this at any moment if they wanted.
There's another aspect to this, it's like they asked an AI to generate a list of all entities that have an ISO country code, and went with that.

Lots of noise about Heard and McDonald Islands which are inhabited only by penguins, with zero economic activity (nature preserve and research site)- it's a territory of Australia, listed separately from Australia.

Then there are Svalbard and Jan Mayen, which aren't even administratively related but share an ISO code and TLD. They are tariffed separately from Norway, which they're both part of.
