With real sugar instead of HFCS.

Tried the Pepsi tonight.... it was like a blast back to my childhood, without all the beatings. Reminded me of those glass bottles that had a 10 cent deposit.

Two thumbs up.

I've been drinking real sugar Coke and DP for about six months now. Good stuff! Although I can only find them in glass bottles, so it's a little pricey.

Sierra Mist is now made with real sugar, too, if you want a Sprite/7-UP type of option.

As to Pepsi Throwback, the basic problem with it is it still tastes like Pepsi. Yuck.

Bought 4 cases at Wal Mart the other day. I'm on this diet and not doing much cola, but it'll be nice when I ease up. I'm all stocked up. Pics later.

Amusing:

You can now enjoy the all-natural sugary pick-me-up beverage as an occasional treat and compliment to your favorite nutritious meals and snacks all year-round.

Wonder who/what company wrote that.

It's not really "throwback" then, is it?

I read yesterday that Diet Coke now outsells regular Pepsi.

Drinking this "Heritage Dr. Pepper" right now.

I noticed with the Pepsi Throwback, I wasn't always spitting like I do with regular Pepsi. I obviously wondered if it was the HFCS that was causing the mucous buildup in the back of my throat.

Well, I am spitting again with the HDP, so either they are lying about the lack of HFCS, or the spitting/not spitting has a different cause.

Or neither.

I just always enjoyed the need to not spit constantly when drinking Pepsi Throwback.

Tried a thing called "Pepsi Nitro." Says on the can it a "Draft Cola," has Nitrogen instead of CO2, and the bubbles will be finer.

1. They should call it "Pepsi Flat." Tastes flat out of the can. In a glass it fizzes like crazy.... with tiny bubbles.... and is flat as hell.

2. Interesting this comes out just as there's a national CO2 shortage.

I remember Guinness did this for their beers, and something about them doing it in cans a while back. Little curios about the soda now.
