The students told Campus Reform that the perpetrator was Margot Lovett, a gender studies and humanities professor who has a history of controversial actions on campus. Notably, OC Weekly reported in 2001 that she had promulgated a statement by the Black Radical Congress to her colleagues blaming “U.S. Imperialism” for the 9/11 attacks.
After ripping down the posters, video footage of the incident reveals that the professor came over to tell the students that they were not allowed to put up posters on that part of campus, because it was not a free speech zone.

Fields of study aren't inherently anything. Some tend to attract certain types of people very strongly, who then shit up the field with their opinions, but there's no natural sexism in examining the differences between masculine, feminine, and other.

Was pondering the other day, I heard about some gender studies grad whining that they have $40k in college debt, with nothing to show for it but a gender studies degree.
Which made me wonder, what percentage of the time is a gender studies degree not a complete waste of money, and a sign of a deep, deep stupidity? Like maybe 5% of the time? And half that is just becoming some sort of gender studies teacher in academia?

If you're in college getting a gender studies degree, you could disappear forever and the world would be unaffected.
