Their D played lights out, but the offense took advantage of the opportunities they were given.

They should win next week against the Giants, but then the real schedule begins. We'll see where they're at then.

So... Wilson was the right call?

No idea.

Wilson sucked initially. He threw a lot of balls into the dirt, looked panicked, and missed some reads, including on his first pass. There was a WR wide open further down the field, but he went to the bail out instead. Once he got into the rhythm he looked better.

Wilson has the experience, can get through his reads, and isn't afraid to chuck it, but he has no mobility. That last part isn't critical if the line is good, but it's not. They are good run blockers though, and defenses are going to have to respect the run and pass now.

If Wilson is truly mentoring Fields, then I think this becomes a net win if Fields can actually adapt. He went 4-2 in an offense not designed for his talent. Unless he's a selfish cunt, he should absolutely be doing this.

Now the counter here is that the Jets run D sucked, more so without Reddick. Also, their secondary was dropping like flies. Everyone thinks the Jets are a playoff team, but are they? Rodgers and Adams are rusty, Wilson had his worst day as a pro, and Pickens made two amazing catches to bail Wilson out on underthrown balls.

Ultimately, I have to admit I liked the plan by Tomlin. He wants to see what they have in Russ and told the reporter that once they go back to Fields, that's it. There's no going back to Russ. The question now becomes was this an anomaly or is this the offense going forward? If this is them going forward, they are now a legit contender and if they lose the playoffs in the first round again...

It's been a while, he's rusty.

My league with Stranger I am winning by 20, still have Lamar and Dobbins to go, and he's out of players. I love that feeling as rare as it is...

Work league I'm down 40 with Lamar and Dobbins to go. He's got nothing left. (I didn't draft Dobbins in this league. Got him in the trade I mentioned previously.) So I have a chance to go 6-1, but will likely fall to 5-2. It's my own dumb fault. I stupidly benched Lazard from my Flex and put in Demario Douglas thinking he was going to have a monster day with Maye against Jacksonville. Nope. Lazard scored 17 though...

The league I'm advising a cousin on, we annihilated his opponent. He was up 100 by halftime of the early games. He was going to dump the Denver D, and I told him to keep and start them. They scored 41!! (And to be fair to his opponent, they're falling to 0-7, so their team is shit.)

I've played the worst two teams these past two weeks, and my team has died. Like literally, players OUT during games, etc. I have 60 points.

Watson is done for the year.

Now brace yourselves for the biggest lie of the 2024-25 NFL season:

Commanders are now favored in every single one of their remaining games, except 1.

Obviously barely favored in many of them.

I see Daniels is week to week. Please ask him to rest that leg for 3 weeks. He can come back in four. K? Thanks.

Lamar is fighting hard to get me a win where I was down 40. JK Dobbins not so much. I blame Harbaugh.

I get the channel as part of my Hulu-Disney-ESPN bundle, and I still agree. The constant exclusive games on streaming networks is getting out of control and the leagues (and colleges) are hurting themselves for quick cash.

Update: I'm now down 10 points with Lamar in the 4th and Dobbins still in the 3rd. Rooting for a miracle!

Now down 4.44 and that's with Dell having scored 0.0 points and my flex, Douglas, scoring 1.4.

Had I started Lazard, I'd be up 13... :(

Shit. Lost by 4.14. Still went 3-1 overall in fantasy.

Well, at least the Chargers lost, which helps the Steelers.

Brutal night for TB. Not only lost, but it looks like Godwin is out for the year and Evans is out for some time.

When a WR has a hamstring issue, REST THEM LONGER. Also, when the game is over, let it be over.

I would say no for two reasons:
1. We're not attacking the fans, coaches, or other players. We know who the two assholes are: Watson and Haslam.
2. There's no maliciousness in our actions towards our resident Brownie, and if the shoe was on the other foot, he'd certainly rib me about any Steeler struggles.

"Have you scored 20 points in a game"
Yes - Like every P4 NCAA + NFL team, except the Browns.
Yes (but we call them runs) - 3 MLB teams.
No - The Browns.

People used to dump on the loveable Browns. Now the Browns are dumped on and hated.
