Uh...yeah. Duh.

It's true, and oddly proves the "the left can't meme" point.

As many point out in her comments, it's apparently about engagement. My feed is filled with left, right, and libertarian stuff, so I know with the correct cultivation it's possible.
Also, I love seeing left wing people bitch about X and how they see so much right wing stuff now, yet they didn't give two fucks when it was reversed.

I follow + slightly know Emily. She does not engage with right wing content.
Why would they? That's nonsensical. They saw what they wanted to see. Not this stuff being rammed down their gullets.
It's not me, it's someone else.

And thus, why should I give a shit about her complaint now?

The more crazy lefty and righty stuff I block on Facebook, the more crazy lefty and righty stuff gets "You might like this" suggested on my wall.
No one is putting a finger on the scale.
They all know that pissing you off is the fastest way to get you engaged, replying, and serving you another ad.
I must have blocked 100 native american groups posting pics of themselves flipping off Mount Rushmore. They keep coming.

My FB is strangely not lefty or righty. But twitter keeps trying to inject right-wing stuff. I block, I never react, etc. Still keeps coming.
It's not me, it's someone else.

I think blocking must be counted as reacting. Probably some millennial having input into the algorithm.

As stupid as this would be, it would not shock me.
BTW, I actually do care about her complaint (to a point *), however I was making a statement about how people on the right and middle were complaining about social media for years and we were laughed off and told "if you don't like it, leave" and other such awesome messages of tolerance and unity. Now that the shoe is on the other foot...
* - I do not think anyone should be inundated with either side's rhetoric endlessly. EVEN IF IT'S YOUR SIDE!!! I'm all in favor of a "finger of sanity" being on the scale to feed the left right stuff and the right left stuff, but not 80%. Although, as one of her commenters pointed out, and I'm paraphrasing, "When you're used to your feed being all your side, 30-50% probably feels like 80%." It's a fair point, but semantics.
Mine isn't either, but I don't engage with ANYTHING on the main page these days aside from the occasional "Condolences" or "Happy" whatever. I just go to Reels and watch some sports clips. @benchwarmerbran is a fun follow.

I don't know whether to punch or praise you.
