Not sure. The government loves telling people what they can and can't do with their bodies, and the government seems to want to keep us getting more and more crowded. The segway exists, suggesting it's easy for a computer to balance a body on two points. Alexa and Google Home exist, which means wifi/blutooth is fast enough for the brain to not even need to be in the body of the thing.
