So far I've added a gamer keyboard, gamer mouse, and gamer soundcard to my system where before I was using plain vanilla gear, and built-in mobo stuff.

One thing I never realized is that all the new hardware-supporting software I've had to install has increased my idling system process count from about 30 to exactly 40.

I'm a guy who is meticulous about his system tray and processes... I don't like to have extraneous shit running. And now this...

Price I pay, I suppose. Maybe it'll bug me less when I go with a quad-core CPU, in the hopefully near future.

You're supposed to uncheck the box that says "install spyware."

You've got to watch out for those unintended side effects. I recently moved offices and thus have a new setup for my desk. The unintended side effect is that my wireless keyboard no longer works as well as it did.

Maybe a quad core will fix my situation... :D
