Agreed. I'd probably say that, WTFers, and Redwolves are my top 3.

This would be a lot uglier if it wasn't preseason, but it still isn't impressive.

Just was checking out the NFL top 100 for 2021 as voted on by the players.

Nick Chubb- 26
Dalvin Cook- 20

Nah, Chubb is better. He just gets knocked down because he splits carries with Hunt. But there is no better pure runner IMO. He's the Mariono Rivera of the NFL. He averaged 10 yds/rush in the 4th quarter for the WHOLE SEASON! This man closes games and puts you away.

Myles Garrett-16
TJ Watt- top 10

I'm not gonna argue that Watt isn't good, but i will argue that he's not better than Garrett. Watt has been in the well known system of the Steelers that has always produced sacks and had good running mates for years. Garrett, not so much, he's been a one man wrecking crew since day one.

I'll say this, at least Lamar Jackson isn't #1, he's #24. Is he dangerous? yeah, but cmon you still have to throw a football to be considered a QB.

Those lists always carry very little weight with me.

However, in this case I will say that being voted on by players means they're probably voting based on things you, as a fan, don't see or don't know. Watt might be harder to deal with than Garrett? Maybe Garrett is just a dick (seems to be pretty obvious and that is NOT a shot at the Browns) and Watt is more of a nicer guy?

Also, I agree with you on Chubb. I really like his running style.

Agreed, it is just a silly list but kinda fun to talk about.

Funny you say this. I was listening to ESPN radio this morn and they were talking about this. They had a guest on that said almost the opposite of this. He said that he's seen the players fill out these lists, many of them sit together in a group and just copy whatever the "alpha male" of the group puts down. He said its much more of a popularity contest and they guys who don't necessarily self promote and are more of a quiet type ala Garrett and Chubb tend to get snubbed. He even brought up those two as an example. He also, basically said the players are stupid and don't really think of stats and many other factors and more of the "thats a bad man" type of attitude.

That's not the opposite of what I was saying, it's exactly what I was saying. We have no idea what criteria these players use when voting, whether it is based on actual on field performance, personal relationships, peer pressure, and so on. I assume there's a lot of people who get votes that really shouldn't. But yeah, everything you said makes total sense.

For example, if I was a player I'd rank Garrett lower because I personally think he is a terrible human being. He tried to accuse another person of something that destroys careers and impacts earning potential. Why? Because he lost his own temper and couldn't just deal with his own failing. Despite absolutely not one other person, including the cameras with microphones that hear every possible sound on the field, hearing a slur, he tried to stand behind that lie to protect his own image. IMHO, that's the same as a girl who willingly has sex with someone and then later when it negatively affects her telling people it was rape. I know he's a great player, but I have a hard time getting past something like that.

Etienne out all year. I am in a keeper fantasy league. I was trying to decide between 2 people, and chose Ja'Marr Chase, not realizing how disappointing his preseason was.

My other choice was Etienne.

OK, who would you have taken?

Once we got past the first 2 choices, there was nothing awesome left. I kinda wanted that TE who is at Atlanta. I ended up getting Lawrence with my 2nd rd pick.

I would have taken Etienne. RBs are harder to come by than WRs. Plus, I trust Meyer over whatever Cincy is doing.

And I just clicked your spoiler and saw my choices were more than just those two? If that's the case, I don't know. Was Najee Harris gone?

Najee Harris was 1st. That TE in Atlanta went 2nd.

The problem I have with RBs is they last about 3 years, and get platooned. So you never know who will be Derrick Henry, and who will be in a committee, or lose all their TDs to a goal line back. (Or, maybe it's just me not paying enough attention, because I Dont)

Haskins had a rough night. They didn't start anyone else with him against the Panthers #1s.

Felt like he got setup to fail.

How stupid would the Dolphins be for this? How desperate are they?
Also, Austin Ekeler wants you to draft him.

He is on my team. What if I start him, and lose?
