How do you pronounce Mozilla?

Mo as in Moe Moe-zilla
or
Mo as in mom Mah-zilla

Well, I always figured it was a combination of "Mosaic" (the original web browser) and "Godzilla." So however you pronounce the "Mo" in "Mosaic."

Wikipedia says it's a combo of "Mosaic" and "killa," i.e., a Mosaic Killer.

My kid and all his friends pronounce it mahzila. With all accent on the mah part glombing the zila onto the end of it. It drives me friggin nuts. They are just learning leet speak too. Caught him doing it once. I asked him "What the heck is up with that?" His answer "Oh, it's just something me and my friends do." I almost started crying. The conversation ended with me letting him know that he's not my son any more.

Basically, they are discovering linux, hacking, leet speak, etc. And they think they are leading edge. My son is a script kiddie wanna be. . . I'm going to have to ground him and stuff.

Ah nice.

I did that when I was 13... the police came to visit 2 years later. Just remind him what a PMITA prison is. I actually had to go through scared-straight.

hehehe He's not that bad yet. That's why I'm saying 'wanna be'. He wants to be a leet hacker dude. . . but knows NOTHING about linux, etc. But has on more than one occation said that he wants to load it on his PSP. He got the idea from a friend of his that loaded linux on his X-Box. He and his friends have trouble navigating IP addresses. Over all, to actually acomplish anything, he'd have to read up on alot of stuff. Then the glamor fades and they just load Counter Strike Source and 'pwn teh noobs'.
