Talking heads will call this a trap game or point out the Steelers' easy schedule.

I will point to Tomlin.

Could happen. Steelers play Buffalo next week, and should drop that one too. Then they could lose to the Colts and/or Browns.

Every team the Steelers play should line up in Dime defenses the rest of the year.

I’d love to see another NFC East win this week, but I’m pretty sure that would be asking for too much.

Lol. At 7-5, the Ravens wouldn't matter too much, still. Especially if yall win next week against them.

Well, my fantasy team started 4-1, and finished 5-8 after a ton of injuries, and other issues. I would fire the GM if I could.

Gibson going down in the first quarter cost me. I'm going to lose by 2 points. Still playoff bound, but now will probably have a shittier seeding.

Sherman talks about his future.

Sherman is an interesting guy, but I'm really posting this because they detail SF's situation. 40 players hitting free agency. Holy shit. We'll see if Lynch is a great GM, and it really showcases how tough it is to hold onto a stacked team in the NFL.

During the Chiefs game last week, Collinsworth was discussing how many guys on their roster are still under rookie or 1st contracts, and how there was no way the Chiefs would be able to retain them all in the next few years.

The NFL's system is actually pretty impressive.

Managing contracts, salary cap, etc... That's a skill. It feels like an optimization problem to me... bet you could put some good AI in there to get you close.

TheCatt wrote: The first week of NFL ratings were rough... but they're climbing back.
the NFL's ratings for the 2020 season are down just 5% year over year.

Viewership has increased each week, but many people believe the ratings for this season have "tanked" because of some low numbers in Week 1.
And week 1 was down about 15%, which leads to the implication that week 3 was back to normal.
Through the first 13 weeks of the season, TV and digital NFL ratings were down 7% across the broadcast and cable networks that carry games, according to Nielsen data. Viewership among men in the 18-49 and 25-54 age categories that advertisers target during games was more significantly affected.

While NFL ratings are down, the games are still attracting millions of viewers and providing a bright spot in an otherwise gloomy TV ad market.

And the demand is there from marketers. This year, since much of the remaining inventory is being used for make-goods, some brands vying for an available NFL commercial spot are being asked to pay premiums as much as 50% over what they would pay before the season, when they tend to get better rates, said one ad buyer. It is a significant increase over past years’ scatter-market premiums.
Having games like Pitt-Bal moved from primetime Thanksgiving night hurt, as ratings dropped 50% for that game.

I have a bad habit of checking my fantasy team Thursday, and then never again until after the 1pm games start, as I do other things in life.

Got COVIDed on one of my starters. And, another player that was on COVID cleared for today's games. Ooops. Oh well, in the loser bracket for the playoffs anyway.

If the WTFers can win today... they become the massive favorite to win the division. Hell, even a tie works.

It'd be great if McLaurin could catch a TD for my fantasy team.

At least I started the WTFers' D today. Irrelevant though. My opponent, #9/10 teams, is on fire. #1 in the league for points so far.
