I'll be honest... I would love to see a trump win just for the comedy of it. But I really think he might win.... And I can't say I was part of that. So I'm voting independent again.

I think Ohio is still trending Trump - the Vegas betting odds suggest a Trump state win but Biden Electoral. Should still find the outcome funny, either way.GORDON wrote: "Stick it to the libs who have been insulting me for the last 4 years" will still be a pretty strong motivator.

I think it has been said that people who voted early were most likely voting Biden, while those voting on election day would likely be voting Trump.

Serious question: Why has Lil' Wayne, 50 Cent, and Ice Cube all come out in support of Trump? Ditto for Kim Kardashian. Trump, win or lose, could legit get the largest number of black votes for a R presidential candidate.

Cost of living is up, wages are stagnant, when the government is stepping on my neck, to nazis are trying to. The middle class is disappearing, those living in poverty are rising, 1 in 8 has an untreated mental illness, no one can afford health care, my manufacturing job disappeared. I need help."
"Don't worry," the doctor tells him. "The answer is simple. Just make sure you vote for the democrats this election."
"But doctor," the man weeps. "I've been voting democrat for the last 40 years."

What's the source for this? Cause I don't believe that was the reason. They are removing guns, but it's the whole display. As in, they aren't going to sell them anymore. Not, they are locking them up in back.

One of the institute researchers, Elise Thomas, said that the picture contains several telltale signs indicating that it’s a computer-generated fake—and a bad one at that.

Seems like voting will be up this year.More Texans have cast early ballots than voted in the entire 2016 general election, making the presidential battleground state the first to hit that mark this year.
Nationwide, more than 80 million people have already voted, a number far greater than four years ago when 58.8 million people cast early or mail-in ballots.

I am genuinely still undecided on a local race.
Local R for Township Supervisor is the incumbent. His in laws are my neighbors. Super nice people. He has definitely made improvements, and our street actually gets plowed when it snows, which is a first in the years we've lived here. (They all do, which is a rarity in this state.)
However, he's immature and has relationships with established "do nothing" politicians that people are sick of. He is also against weed being sold in our area, which is a huge mistake. It's free money going to Ann Arbor (the closest pot shop) and has been proven not to increase crime or anything. I pointed out a perfect spot to him that's right on the Ohio border and very far from the rest of the community, but his response wasn't awesome. (I know him, so it's not like I expect to be listened to, but I should have gotten more than the three words I got.) This community is xenophobic and has old school, moronic thinking of "don't invest in the schools so people don't want to move here" because they don't want to get bigger. They're too stupid to realize investing in the schools will reduce the possibility of an influx of the element they want to keep out. So the community needs that pot money so they don't have to rely on levies for everything.
Meanwhile, his D opponent is brand new to the area. She's an AF vet like me. She tried to run as an R, got denied because they already had one, so the Ds grabbed her. She is being pushed HEAVILY by certain members of the community, specifically a guy who owns a couple of local businesses and really wants to build a pot shop. He's a total asshole of a person, so I'd love it if he wasn't the one getting such a business. He and his cronies have turned this campaign really ugly too. They take personal shots at the incumbent non-stop on FB, attack anyone supporting him via name calling and whatnot, have published tons of the guy's emails (public record) out of context, and so on.
It's really ugly to the point that many in the community, including me, are being influenced to vote more against these negative and disgusting tactics than for either candidate.
I want the pot shops, but I don't want well off scum trying to get richer via manipulating voters with a fake D candidate and negative campaigning.
In another race, I'm super excited to vote against the racist that made national news. He's moving away from the school board and running for trustee now. (Spoiler: He's going to win in a landslide, but not with my vote.)

I hate you too.
That's an over simplification. I almost described it as a race issue too, but it's really not about either.
Here's the issue: They're directly on the border with the other state and a city. They don't want to be a suburb of that city. They think they're still a small farming community. They legit do not like people not born in their town. Everything gets met with a rally cry of "we're not that city!" or "do that and you'll just be a mini version of that city!" and so on. They don't want non-native residents moving into the area. So yes, they hate my family and all the others like me who have moved into it. Anything remotely related to city life gets vilified and city folk always get blamed for it. For example: Somebody was breaking into cars over a period of a few months. City folk coming up for an easy score so they can go buy drugs was the common thought. Turned out to be a mix of that, and in one particular neighborhood, just some local thugs.
They do not accept that growth is inevitable, particularly where they are located. It's a lot like the area of SC just south of Charlotte. Peeps are going to move away from higher taxes, higher crime, etc. If they find a suburb in another state literally minutes from their office, guess what...
Meanwhile, the part of that city they border is going to shit. Property values are decreasing, crime is rising, etc. It's hanging onto some civility because the school system there is separate from the city, despite being in the city, and is really good. However, it's definitely not as nice as it was even 10 years ago.
So my point was they're going to grow, but they have the opportunity to choose who moves in. They can purposely try to sabotage their community, and inevitably draw in all the citified stuff they hate or they can improve the area to draw in people who are trying to send their kids to good schools, want to live in a safe community, and who contribute and care. Poor and race have nothing to do with those things (or should have nothing to do with those things).
Take a walk around your neighborhood tonight. (If you live in one...) You can tell by people's lawn and house exterior who is a good neighbor and who isn't. Who cares about their overall community and who doesn't give two fucks.
When my wife and I were in our starter home many years ago, a guy on one side of us had an immaculate lawn, and his home always looked well maintained. He lived there with a female roommate (I don't know the whole story...), but he didn't make a ton of money. He just had pride in his home. I would go apologize to him if I didn't get to my lawn quickly enough any given week. He's still there and the house looks the same.
On the other side, was a family with a mom, dad, and two sons. Additionally, they had at least one live in girlfriend. That house was a shit show. Lawn would get mowed only a few times in the summer. It still needs to be painted and we moved out over a decade ago. Shitty cars parked in the driveway. The girl and her friend would sit 10 feet from the busy road the house sat on and smoke and drink during the day. (Who does that?) I think we lived there for...4-5 years and saw the mom once. Never saw dad. All of their windows had really faded piss poor curtains and they were never open. Ditto for their windows. Those are the people you don't want in your neighborhood.
Sorry, rambling a bit. You're making me take a walk down memory lane. Tons of memories from that house. Good and bad.
