Game of Thrones  *SPOILERS* - For the nights dark and full of SPOILERS

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

(although Metallica fit the GoT scene like like Floyd to Oz)

Well. That was flat, imho

My wife called who would be king.

Nice to see the Starks on top, and living their respective destinies, I guess.

Agree. Ended with a whimper.

Danny's death was predictable and pretty lame. Nothing, and I think this is true of the entire season, had any emotion. I think the biggest takeaway from the whole show is: "Don't start filming until the writer has completed the story."

So did Vegas. They had Bran as the favorite to be on the throne before the season started. He was, literally, the one character fans didn't want to see on the throne.

Felt to me like they were just setting up potential spin offs. The only one I'd want to see is Arya's. Her story has an unknown element.

The ride was fun, but the ending left a lot to be desired.

I'm ok.with it, but the few previous episodes really lowered my expectations.

Also I managed to avoid all spoilers and predictions. Didn't see the Stark sweep coming.

The more I ponder the finale, the more I hate it.

The dragon melting the throne intentionally might have been the worst part of it.

Did George R.R. Martin ever finish any more books?

Emilia Clarke agrees her story line sucked.

Remember, HBO offered them more episodes and seasons. They said no and we got this rushed garbage as a result.

Yes, but not in the main series. Backstories, history, etc. Still 2 more books in the main series, and he wrote the last one in 2011.

There's a part of me that liked this element, but only by itself, not within the context of the entire series. It wasn't well-executed, but it could have been. In fact, I felt that way about a lot of things this season. The weight was missing.

Dany's army should have been in more disrepair, it should have been a more bitter struggle against Westeros that caused another dragon to die, with some turning point like Cersei being killed.

I don't play WoW, but I imagine this ending is like a player who goes AFK through an entire dungeon but still ends up with the loot drop at the end.

1. Arya is a Stark, sister of the King, and literally royalty. I don't have the impression that they're hurting for money.

2. The dragon saw the metal pointy thing sticking out of his dead mother, and then attacked the chair made out of the metal pointy things. "It took a dragon to make us see the futility of violence," or something.

3. The only continuity problem I have is that the dragon flew off carrying her body away, and then the Unsullied locked up John Snow because they literally said they found his blade in her chest. When did they ascertain that?

Where'd Daenrys and the dragon go?

Oh - said she "left something in a vault" in Qarth and then they flew off.

Water bottles spotted in key scene of finale.

Just goes to prove that people working on the show had stopped paying attention to details.

That bugged me too.

Jon Snow would be completely in character to confess the whole thing.
