Should prostitution (Sex work) be legal?
Should prostitution (Sex work) be legal?
Yes.
Why is it illegal to sell what you can give away for free?
Why is it illegal unless it's being filmed?
You want to regulate it to protect the prostitutes and the clients from disease, exploitation, and violence? Also, because you want to tax it? Great. However, there's no reason it shouldn't be legal except because of the influence of people whose moral compass declares it to be a sin.

I’d be cool with the states making their own laws here. If enough people in the state want it, go nuts.
Should prostitution (Sex work) be legal?
I can see the logic there, but the freedom of a man or woman to make their living how they see visit is vastly over-regulated already, and this is one more arena where people need more freedom, not arbitrary state laws.

It will always be hilarious that you can give it away for free, but you can't sell it...unless you're filming it.

I genuinely am so confused as to how the government has not regulated and taxed prostitutes yet. I think it's probably always been career suicide, but with marijuana gaining support for national legalization, gay marriage being legal, religion losing popularity, and OnlyFans becoming a thing, I think we are on the way to legalized prostitution.
The U.S. government has left a LOT of money on the table by not becoming everyone's drug dealer and pimp.
