States have the power to run books now, but single game betting is still banned (?).

Seriously, everything I've said about Vegas is even more true now. They need to completely reinvent themselves as Sin City or they're going to become the next Detroit.

It will be interesting to see what happens in NJ. It'll be like California legalizing something that was already all over the place.

Cannot wait to see all the new businesses that spring up to challenge Vegas' sports books.

I expect we'll see some pretty big "sign up" bonuses.

Yay Capitalism!

Draft Kings sent out an email stating they'll be taking bets soon.

In addition to "sign up" bonuses, experts expect people will be able to get better odds than what Vegas gives and there will be prop bets galore as places try to win your business.

Here's a pro tip: Stop betting on football because there's too much parity.

Sportsbooks make record profit off stupid gamblers.

After the Supreme Court ruling, "I knew that Congress had an obligation to ensure that the integrity of the games we love was never compromised," Schumer said. "That is why I believe the time is now to establish a strong national integrity standard for sports betting that will protect consumers and the games themselves from corruption."
GFY
Hatch said that once the Supreme Court struck down the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act in May, "I began working with stakeholders to ensure we were doing everything possible to protect the integrity of sports from corruption. The legislation we've introduced today is the culmination of eight months of high-level meetings, discussions, and negotiations, and will serve as a placeholder for the next Congress, should they decide to continue working to address these issues."
GFY, too.
