Makes weird claims about the number of dead in PR after Maria.
To be fair, the way they officially calculated the deaths is also pretty weird.
20,000 pallets of water delivered to PR by FEMA went unused.
And, of course, he responded to Dimon.

Dems trying to pretend a single constituent matters to them. (It's really a shitty tactic to try and delay the Kavanaugh vote.)
Google executives caught on tape showing how they hated the election results.
The Eileen lady seems even keeled. (That's not sarcasm.)

I mean, unless he brutally raped someone....Two sources briefed on the matter said it relates to allegations of misconduct by Kavanaugh while he was in high school.
It's not me, it's someone else.

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyy too many variables in that allegation, not to mention the amount of years that have gone by, for it to matter or result in anything.
"It was a joke."
"We had no idea anyone was in there."
"Never happened."
And so on...
In these times where everything you do or so can offend someone, and that equals you assaulting them, I think this tactic will be used a lot more often.
Politicians suck ass.

So far I'm seeing that Feinstein had this letter since July and is only bringing it up now. I wish they'd start the process for expulsion from the Senate for this. Even if it failed, a signal needs to be sent to halt this sort of horseshit.
The accuser has never accused the judge by name until the letter. The accuser never even brought up the 35 year old accusation until 6 years ago, so now you're having to deal with the false memory phenomenon as a possibility. It's just bad. If this is the new norm for SCOTUS appointments, just pull the plug already.

The letter.
She was 15 at the time.July 30 2018
CONFIDENTIAL
Senator Dianne Feinstein
Dear Senator Feinstein;
I am writing with information relevant in evaluating the current nominee to the Supreme Court.
As a constituent, I expect that you will maintain this as confidential until we have further opportunity to speak.
Brett Kavanaugh physically and sexually assaulted me during high school in the early 1980's. He conducted these acts with the assistance of REDACTED.
Both were one to two years older than me and students at a local private school.
The assault occurred in a suburban Maryland area home at a gathering that included me and four others.
Kavanaugh physically pushed me into a bedroom as I was headed for a bathroom up a short stair well from the living room. They locked the door and played loud music precluding any successful attempt to yell for help.
Kavanaugh was on top of me while laughing with REDACTED, who periodically jumped onto Kavanaugh. They both laughed as Kavanaugh tried to disrobe me in their highly inebriated state. With Kavanaugh's hand over my mouth I feared he may inadvertently kill me.
From across the room a very drunken REDACTED said mixed words to Kavanaugh ranging from "go for it" to "stop."
At one point when REDACTED jumped onto the bed the weight on me was substantial. The pile toppled, and the two scrapped with each other. After a few attempts to get away, I was able to take this opportune moment to get up and run across to a hallway bathroom. I locked the bathroom door behind me. Both loudly stumbled down the stair well at which point other persons at the house were talking with them. I exited the bathroom, ran outside of the house and went home.
I have not knowingly seen Kavanaugh since the assault. I did see REDACTED once at the REDACTED where he was extremely uncomfortable seeing me.
I have received medical treatment regarding the assault. On July 6 I notified my local government representative to ask them how to proceed with sharing this information . It is upsetting to discuss sexual assault and its repercussions, yet I felt guilty and compelled as a citizen about the idea of not saying anything.
I am available to speak further should you wish to discuss. I am currently REDACTED and will be in REDACTED.
In confidence, REDACTED.

Both parties are going to quickly discover that no man or woman is without sin. Point being, this is going to be the standard from now on.

When you bring up.somsthing that happened 30 years ago, the onus of proof is on you. Since everything is political now, of course she's doubted. It's the world in which the majority of Americans want to live. I've given up expecting better of people.

That guy should never be allowed to teach again. He should also be committed, oh wait, we don't do that anymore.
Are you on FOX because I've mostly seen pro-her stuff, although I'm just going on headlines, tweets, and FB posts from left wingers.
To be fair, he is innocent until proven guilty. Also, she's the one digging up an incident from 30 years prior with no evidence or witnesses. And to be fair to her, it's very likely she's telling the truth. It's also very likely she's telling "her truth" and not "the truth".

I try to read a variety of news points. But most of my news comes from WSJ.
There was a witness/co-conspirator. He has denied it. He's also written about how he couldn't believe how much he drank at the time.
My inclination is to believe her. The accusations certainly fit with my bias about the behavior of the rich kids who attend those super expensive prep boarding schools. But at the same time, I don't see it as enough to derail the process, especially given that all we have is he said she said.
It's not me, it's someone else.

I honestly have no opinion on her story. You're right that spoiled rich kids can act very entitled, particularly when drinking. (Not that poor kids can't do the same...) However, it's also true that young girls' behavior can be just as bad. She wouldn't be the first person to lie about sexual assault.
Without evidence, and with the only witness saying she's lying, I cannot say she is telling the truth or lying and neither can anyone else. Only those three were there. Anyone strongly saying she's right or wrong is a biased asshole.

Exactly. If we derail him based on that, then we'd better sit tight for all the accusations that are going to come flying at every person in DC.

Stormy Daniels book.
Well, at least we're getting a lot of books out of this administration. Trump will never read them, but hey, more books.

Trump says something reasonable about the Kavanaugh allegations
“Hopefully the woman will come forward, state her case,” Trump said Tuesday. “He will state his case before representatives of the United States Senate. And then they will vote, they will look at his career, they will look at what she had to say from 36 years ago, and we will see what happens.”
...
Asked if he believes the allegation is political in nature, the president said: “I don't want to say that. Maybe I will say that in a couple of days, but not now,” Trump said earlier on Tuesday.

Kavanaugh made a joke that I bet he wishes he hadn't made now.
Vote for Thursday has been canceled (I assume the presumption is they would get the testimony and vote next week or so?)In 2015, then-Judge Brett Kavanaugh of the United States Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit, speaking in a lecture to law students at Washington’s Catholic University of America, joked that his school friends had a “good saying” that they’ve “held firm” to present day:
“What happens at Georgetown Prep stays at Georgetown Prep.”
“That’s been a good thing for all of us, I think,” Kavanaugh said to laughter in the crowd.
