Not for the $12 Million per year for the next 3 years. The report came out yesterday they were shopping him and obviously there was no interest from teams to pay him that much.
Joe's not the same player he was when he made the pro bowl in 2013, he's been injured every year since then and really became the 3rd best CB on the roster. He had 6 picks his rookie year and a total of 6 after that, plus he got absolutely owned by smaller receivers like Antonio Brown. Granted, Brown makes lots of CB's look bad, but if Joe was the 5th highest paid CB in the league he needed to play better than he did.
Still, i'm a little baffled by them just releasing him. Its not like Cleveland is strapped for cap space, and he still gives us some veteran depth if/when injuries happen. Joe will be picked up for a much more salary friendly price and go to a winning team, wouldn't be surprised if he's with the Steelers by tomorrow...

CBs are harder to come by than RBs. Also, I think you're severely discounting all the interest Hayden had which forced them to give him a bigger deal than a normal guy that gets cut.
Meanwhile, the league is filled with RBs who have breakout seasons, usually in places with decent QB play and good lines (that's not a coincidence). They also have an average career of 5 years. Now take Bell into account who has still not played a full season mostly due to his own poor behavior, is injury prone, and is doing this holdout that has absolutely zero impact on any salary negotiations. He's playing in one of the top three rated offenses in the NFL with a hall of fame QB, the NFL's #1 WR factory (look it up, I was shocked too), and a line considered one of the league's best.
He's a great player. I would never deny that. I just don't see where he's proven that they should dump all this money on him.
